Pine Park Hotel Naran

Pine Park Naran is one of the best hotels in the area. Its located on the way to Saif ul Malok lake a bit away from main bazaar around 5 minutes drive. Hotel has neat well maintained rooms with decent facilities to make your stay comfortable.

This hotel is a bit expensive as room would cost you Rs. 2850 per night with no discount offered. Iif you want to stay at some really nice and peaceful hotel then this cost is not too much.

This hotel has lovely interior, nice rooms, beautiful and well maintained lawns and all the necessary facilities that you may need. Horse riding and rent-a-jeep facility is also available.

PTDC Motel Naran

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation has a large network of motels and hotels all over Pakistan. PTDC Motel Naran is on bank of River Kunhar, well known for its delicious trout fish. The motel is spread over 20-acre area having standard rooms, huts, economy rooms as well as 3 VIP cottages overlooking the Motel, on the top of adjacent mountain.

The motel is very expensive and i would not recommend you to stay there. All prices are on room-only basis and economy rooms costing Rs. 1,400 plus tax do not even have toilets.Only two beds are provided in room, there is no carpeting or even tube light in rooms. Walls are without paint and at night there is not adequate light arrangements if you want to move outside your room.

VIP rooms and huts are superb and very well maintained but very expensive at the same time. They would cost you around Rs.5,000 to Rs.8,000 per night. ( 1 USD = Rs 60 )

I would suggest you to visit Naran's main bazaar that is on walking distance of 5 minutes and there you can find a hotel of every type ranging from Rs.300 to Rs.2000

Some of the facilities provided are a restaurant serving three times meals, TV lounge, children park, fishing, horse riding, rent-a-jeep and laundry facilities.

PTDC cottage: PTDC cottage

This was as expected.

The sheets were clean.
Our attendance was helpful.
We were by the river as advertised.
The bathrooms were cleaner than most other places we have been to in naran. See the other two roach motels.

The menu was limited to the same items all the days we were there. Sorry, folks, there are no dessert items on the menu.

The food in the main naraan street was better than the hotel, though you will have to walk a bit to get there.

It's an old place. You will get the rustic feel.

The surti's are good too. A bit dark from the inside.

Mobile phones don't work there.

The water heater is wood burning.

Cows roam freely in the camp. Watch your step.

Bring a sweater.

This is about a 2 star hotel.

Fairyland Hotel: Fairyland hotel

The fairyland hotel's staff did not know what to do. The catering in
the evening was haphazard. The waiters had no clue what to do with the
order, the plates or even who ordered what!

Our suitcases wound up in different rooms but this was simply due to a
lack of coordination between the six men trying to handle five suitcases.

The door to my room occassionally froze shut with or without the key. It
required banging on it to open. We simply left it open and unlocked during
our stay there since we did not want to be stuck in the room.

There is absolutely nothing to do there except to look at the sceney. The traffic noise from the road next to the hotel is quite high so you really don't get the natural experience.

The lights in the bathroom worked.
The shower did have hot water.
The towels were clean, though too few.
The eating facility is quite lacking.

Absolutely clueless staff.

You can find it quite entertaining if you are not botthered to wait an hour for a cup of tea or food.

The "cook" should be fired. We ate better food in a road side rest. about 2 km. before this place.

You can walk down to the river and see a cute suspension bridge. Be careful where you step.

River View Hotel: River View Hotel

The hotel we stay was good enough, so tranquil overlooking the magnificent view of glacier mountain and the river, inhabited by only farmers. The view was nice but some villagers are somehow weird probably they couldn't understand the outside world. Anyway, this hotel and the owner and this 2 youngsters are nice. The cost of a room with 3 beds cost less than 250RS per night.

VIP Cottage (Pine Park Hotel Shogran): VIP Cottage (Pine Park Hotel Shogran)

An exclusive cottage called" VIP COTTAGE" is situated at one corner of the main block of the hotel. The facilities are great here. During my stay at Shoran I stayed in VIP cottage and really loved it. It has a main bedroon & attached room for children, A seperate bathroom and changing room. On one side of the cottage is a playing room with some arcades and a pool table. There is another VIP COTTAGE as well which is situated around the Margi block of the hotel with similar facilities but more expensive.

Pine Park Hotel & Resort Shogran (Magri Block): Pine Park Hotel & Resort Shogran (Magri Block)

Pine Park Hotel has two blocks:
1:Main Block
2:Margi Block
Margi block is situated on the rough road that goes up towards Siri-Payee. In foggy environment this block is a graet architectular piece with its beautiful furnished interior & exterior. The hotel has lush green lawns & play area for children. A small tuk-shop is also being run by hotel management. If on one hand the outdoor facilities are well looked after indoor is totaly opposite. Bath rooms are not in good shape.Telephone and TV facilities are provide recently. The price rates are fixed.

Peaceful environment and lush green lawns with playing area for children.
