Serai Silk Route: Top Hotel in Pasu

Hotel Serai Silk Route is a small 6 room hotel but is surprisingly plush and comfortable with fully carpeted floors and bathtubs in modern attached washrooms.
Superlative views of the majestic 6106m Tupopdan (Passu Cones) sometimes called Cathedral Ridge due to its stunning mountain architecture, unique not only in the mighty Karakorams but across the globe are all yours if you are staying in one of the 3 front rooms.
With not many tourists opting for Pakistan due to terrorism, floods, landslides and media hype, you can make a real bargain at this peaceful heaven. I with my wife and 11 months old daughter stayed there for only Rs. 600 per night (rates quoted in LP were Rs. 2000 for a double) and are planning to go there again next summer.
Don't miss this place if you're anywhere around, it's worth the effort even if you have to travel from Karimabad or Gilgit.

Batura Inn: Batura Inn

This photo shows my partner is walking to Batura Inn to look for foods, yes to look for lunch because nobody sell foods in town. It was fun to have a town without vehicles, without restaurants, my kind of place. Batura Inn is run by an owner age about 60, able to speak English. We asked whether he has any foods, at first he said no but yes again. He invited us into his canteen and served us some kind of bread and soup. Nice lunch. At the back of Batura Inn, go pluck some cherries after meal.

Pasu Inn: Pasu Inn

I'm not saying I strongly recommend this Pasu Inn. I put up this Pasu Inn just because I spent a night there. Cost around 200Rs each person with bathroom attached, clean overall. Pasu Inn has its own canteen but must place order in advance. I saw at least 5 guesthouses and hotels around Pasu town, so don't worry about stay.
