we stay 4 nights at pearl continental hotel lahore. lobby is great with big atrium and a 1922's rolls royce. security is very tight but proper and maintained comfortable for guests. staffs are attentive and very helpful. glass lifts are extra, corridor's carpet floor is a bit outdated but clean. room is spacious (we stay in a twin room), clean, basic toiletries, big tv screen, outdated furniture but still comfortable.
my remark is concerning the internet connection which is not free. we have to buy internet voucher rupees 180/hour where i believe they can give it for free.
Unique Quality: good quality materials in hotel's shopping malls though more expensive compare to similar qualities sell at lahore mall. pool is okay. health club/gym is okay with steam room, sauna and baths. upgrade of equipments would be highly appreciated by the guests.
breakfast is in standard quality although they serve more varieties of food local and international. this hotel provides free shuttle service from/to airport.

My family stayed here 5 nights. We were impressed throughout. The rooms comfy and clean. The lunch buffet exquisite. Definately a memorable stay !

Located on the Mall Road, this hotel is considered to be the biggest and the best in the city. The rooms are pretty similar that one should expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel. However ambiance inside the new wing is truly amazing, a must visit place for a luxurious fine dining experience. Try “Royal Elephant” for Thai cuisine and also you should not miss other restaurant “Dumpukht” that offers cuisine that was once cooked by Royal Chefs of Great Mughal Empire (1526-1857). Do expect to pay from $20 to $30 for a meal. If your pocket is deep, then also shop in the “Pavilion” in the new Wing where you can find a lot of shops.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days in June 2006, hotel was great.staff very attentive, stayed on the e floor exec rooms witrh pc and internet. the best part of the hotel is the excellent restaurants, Pakistani one was the same as any other but expensive what made the rooftop restaurant "JASONS" was the excellent steaks, Aberdeen Angus steaks from America and rack of lamb from New Zealand all cooked as you want it , i love mine medium with a bit of blood and it was perfect I ate there 3 times in 4 days!!! the Japanese restaurant also on the rooftop is managed by a really arrogant manager who was not at all helpful my advice is to avoid the japanese restaurant which was empty and eat at Jasons
Well, if you dont want to waste more on luxury accomodation and concentrate more on living Lahore to its fullest then this is a good place to stay. There service is alright and the rooms are comfortable. Ofcourse if your staying venue is of more importance then u might choose Holiday inn or Pearl Continental. A good place to stay overall. All basic facilities. Good for single or two people at the best.
Due to the recent International Hockey Competition, all the Lahore hotels were fully booked as such I had the pleasure of switching 4 different hotels in the 1 week I was there.

Grand lobby, tight security and good service.
With their own shopping gallery.
Excellent quality but expect to splurge. PKR6000+ for a double room.
Crowne Plaza
Nice boutique hotel.
Friendly but inexperienced staff who nevertheless tries to please.
Old wing rooms are clean and comfortable but furnishing are a little dated.
PKR2500+ for the old wing single room.
I recommend paying a lttle more for the new wing with new furnishings and fixtures.

Newly opened boutique hotel.
PKR3750+ for single room
Excellent service and nice modern rooms.
Very friendly staff who took extra care of me as I was a lone female traveller.
Highly recommended.

anybody stayed in this hotel? if so how was it, costs etc and what services are available , can you get alcohol? cleanliness or is there a better place to stay, am due to arrive February and will stay in Lahore and this is the place i have been advised to stay ..is it any good??

Yes the pearl cont. Is a very clean 5 star hotel and yes they do serve alcohol to foriegn passport holders I think? It is a good place to stay in Lahore.
Well i got a chance to stay there just two days back. Its too good and superb five star hotel. Room rate was Rs. 8,100 ($140) for double room.
Yeah foreign nationals can get alcohol. No need to worry about cleanliness, its five star hotel.

Just to make a little correction:
PC is a 4 star hotel and not 5 Star because it has got no disco/bar in it. That's why most of the hotels in Pakistan are 4 Star except a few like Marriot in Islamabad, PC in Bhurbun, etc. etc.
Moreover, you can get better rates if you know any business company to book a room for you because PC and other starry :-) hotels in Pakistan offer -coperate- rates to business firms. In this way, you might get 2000 Rs. discount per night ! depending upon the relations between your firm and PC.
It's doubtlessly the best hotel in Lahore and the best PC in whole country ! from their room service to the level of cleanliness, everything is according to the international standards. Because of this, PC was choosen for the stay of Prime Minister of India, Mr. Vajpaee a few years back.
