Located on the Mall Road, this hotel is considered to be the biggest and the best in the city. The rooms are pretty similar that one should expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel. Try “Royal Elephant” for Thai cuisine and also you should not miss other restaurant “Dumpukht” that offers cuisine that was once cooked by Royal Chefs of Great Mughal Empire (1526-1857). Do expect to pay from $20 to $30 for a meal. If your pocket is deep, then also shop in the “Pavilion” in the new Wing where you can find a lot of shops.
the conference was in the same hotel and i stayed there for the first time. This hotel has evolved over many years and now has become one of the best hotels I have stayed in - and the main difference is that the staff is so courteous and friendly.
