Hotel Gulf: Cheaper Hotel

We had a nice transit at Karachi and had a blast on and off the road in the company of friends under supervision of guide.
The hotel has a total of 88 air conditioned rooms.
Every room of this hotel has its own thermostat temperature control and equipped with color Television with Cable connection and International Direct Dialing Telephone facility.

All the rooms of the hotel are elegantly decorated and beautifully furnished.
The room facilities is very convenient and all the rooms of the hotel offer some of the exquisite views of the beautiful surroundings. All the rooms are spacious, airy and properly maintained.
All the rooms have wooden floor and reflect the art of the land.

Stay with a relative/friend

Even though there are plenty of nice hotels to stay at in Karachi, I would recommend traveling with a family member or friend who is familiar with the city. You will have the best experience this way. While in Karachi I visted restaurants at the Marriot and the Sheraton and they were both extremely nice. I stayed with family, though, and this is best because not only is it free but they know all the best places to take you. It's also safer that way.

When I arrived after 19 hours of traveling all I wanted to do was take a shower... but I quickly learned that the shower I had been anxiously awaiting was going to be far from luxurious. The bathroom consisted of a hole-type thing in the ground and there was no toilet paper! And the shower was a smal head with low water pressure and a bucket. Nothing disturbed me more than the lack of TP. Luckily, there was another bathroom in the house and it actually had a toilet... but I feel like a lot of homes might have restrooms like the first one I saw. Before arriving I had read all kinds of things about the lack of hot water and things like that... but I took nice, warm showers during my stay... and even sent my friends out to get TP immediately, I used it conservatively and the plumbing handled that okay.

The Sind Club

The rooms were a bit shabby and the staff got a bit annoying. They were constantly trying to get into my room to clean it.

The library was very impressive as was the swimming pool. The bakery was a great place to get breakfast, however lunch served at the restaurant was not too great. The club used to be exclusively for Europeans so the architecture and interior design has an imperialist look to it, which was interesting.
