11th Street Bed and Breakfast Pension House: Bed and Breakfast

by jayjayc

-From Pension Bacolod in a tricy-cad to Lacson Street, passed by this Pension House.
-Tricy-cad driver says the rates of this house are as cheap as of Pension Bacolod's.
-Alternative if Pension Bacolod is fully-booked.

Pension Bacolod and Restaurant: Cheapest for a Night

by jayjayc

-Even with no any special event or festival in the City, hotels can get fully-booked during weekends.
-Stayed at Pension Bacolod for a very cheap rate
-Clean but small-sized shared toilet and bath
-Only Php200 / night / room / fan
-Rooms with a/c, cabled TV and private T&B are for a little over Php500 (Year 2011)
-Meals at Pension Restaurant are for less than Php100 per order (Year 2011)

-A posted reminder in the room says ordering of coffee is available 24 hours from the front desk
-The front desk officer is snoring on a bunk bed laid on the floor inside the front desk cubicle when we went down to have coffee at 4AM
-The hotel security guard is likewise on his chair

Hotels/pension houses/inns: Accommodations INFO and Contact Nos.

I scanned the official brochure from Bacolod City's tourism office that contains the Accommodations around the City. Hope it will be of help if you're looking for a place to stay.

I will write reviews of some Hotels/Inns in the other tips.

Executive De Luxe: The Sugarland Hotel

by sheila2097

Hotel room is clean, from standard we upgraded to Executive De Luxe for a few bucks because I want the veranda, fridge and hair dryer. I was disappointed that the hair dryer is not included in the executive de luxe as per Housekeeping. Very good service, she lets me borrow for overnight.
Buffet breakfast is also included, food is good. All staff are very nice and accommodating.

Value for money, location is good. It's a few kilometers from downtown. But for me it's okay because it's near Goldfields where you can hangout when bored unlike the noise of nearby malls and busy downtown

Bacolod Business Inn: Nice, Quiet Location!

by cyndymc

We stayed at Bacolod Business Inn which was recommended by my cousin-in-law. It is a convenient place to stay in: walking distance to the Cathedral and Plaza; jeepney route to the Capitol Park, Association of Negros Producers Showroom and venue for Electric Masskara; many taxis waiting infront of inn; 24-hour room service. Aside from these, they have nice, accommodating, friendly and efficient staff. Rooms are clean and rates are reasonable. We got a Jr. Executive Room with a view of the Atrium Garden. Their 24-hour restaurant, Cafe Biz has an area for non-smokers, and ample supply of newspapers for guests.

Palmas del Mar Conference Resort Hotel: Bacolod's Favorite Beach Wedding Venue

by lizaresandrea

My family always enjoys its weekends or special occasions in Palmas. The small kids love the island pool, the older children enjoy the lapping pool and the giant slide. We've stayed in adjoining rooms in the Iberian Suites (each Junior suite is good for 3), also in the Lagoon Suite (good for 4 but can accommodate extra beds), the Poolside Suites (good for four), and the 2 bedroom Cabanas. Each room has a balcony or veranda for enjoying the view and the fresh sea air. The staff are friendly and ready to help but sometimes you have to ask them for things you need (ex. beddings for the third person in the junior suite). Better to inform the front desk that you'll need the sofa bed to be made for a third person, otherwise, the room will be readied for only two guests.

The Iberian Suites and Mediterranean Suites are the most recent and the most beautifully designed additions. The Mediterranean Suites face a private pool area that's lit by torches at night. The resort is incredibly peaceful in the early morning and nothing in more relaxing than a steaming cup of coffee in one of the resort's verandas. Other Bacolod hotels may have cheaper rooms but Palmas gives you a room plus breathtaking sunsets, 5 swimming pools, a jogging path, and all the amenities of a 5 acre resort by the sea.

One thing my family and I like about Palmas is hotel guests can invite a certain number of visitors to enjoy the resort amenities for free during the day.

The Suites at Calle Nueva: Very Charming Inn

by eversure

This is a newly opened inn/ guesthouse. Its very charming with a courtyard in the middle equipped with comfy sofas and a skylight. It is not the cheapest nor the grandest - but it is the most charming place I have ever seen. The beds are comfy and the blankets are real blankets. There is a full length mirror and dryers in all rooms.

They have a small cafe which serves good mediterranean food. I like the Keema Rice and the Seafood skewers.

Mambukal Resort: Waterfalls, volcanos and rainforest!

by shohman

What a nice stay! This facilities here are basic, just a room, a bathroom and a bed. But the surroundings are amazing. Just a few steps outside your door and you have a number of pools, hot sulphur springs, multiple gorgeous waterfalls, amazing flying foxes, and an active volcano. The most amazing fact of all, it's less than $20 US per night.

Hot sulphur springs where you can dip (very relaxing and good for the skin) Amazing sightings of huge flying foxes, and a hike up to 7 falls, very nice waterfalls than wind through native villages.

Pension Bacolod

by limledi

Pension Bacolod is okay. Price is cheap for only P905 good for 5 pax. The cable TV is not clear so better choose the P790 room without the tv. The first night the room we stayed in is dusty & dirty so we requested for another room for the succeeding nights. The 2nd room was cleaner but we were dismayed to find a cockroach inside. The only good thing is that the room is big. Am not satisfied with the toilet though coz it's small & dirty. The water pressure is not satisfactory so I used the pail & tabo instead of the shower.
I like the location coz it's away from the city center which is chaotic but is still near some of the spots like the Provincial Capitol & Lagoon, Negros Museum, NFEFI & ANP Negros Showroom to name a few. It's on the 11th Street.

Nice location away from chaos but near the attractions.

L'Fisher Hotel: good service

by gina550

My work requires me to visit Bacolod at least 2x/yr & this is my favorite hotel in the city. Service is good & ideally located right in the city proper with Calea Bakeshop right beside it. Rooms are newly refurbished & live piano music is played at the lobby every night.

Ideal for business travel.
