Hotel Venize is right in the center of the city fronting Burnham Park and a few walks away from SM City Baguio (Mall). Prince Hotel is along Session Road (Baguio's major road) and is very accesible to public transpo as well.

Travel Tips for Baguio

Beetlemania

by f8stop

When we were in Baguio recently, it was hard not to notice the many vintage Volkswagen cars cruising by session road or parked along some of Baguio's sleepy side streets. Beetle lovers are bound to enjoy spotting the classic cars as they explore the city.

The Slaughter House Station - what a name!

by myspices

What a name! At first I thought I heard it wrong.... but the name is really scary.... Slaughter House!!!

Well, this is one of the many bus stations in Baguio. We were actually enquiry on how to get to Sagada. Some suggested that we should go to the Slaughter House road to get the bus - so off we went in search of this "scary" road name. It is a station for North-bound buses and is located near to upper end of the Magsaysay Avenue. When we arrived, we enquired and found most of the buses are actually bound for Bontoc and to get to Sagada, you will then need to catch another bus from Bontoc to Sagada. The buses there look kind of rickety and run-down and it's not air-cond.

We decided not to board the buses at Slaughter house. We moved on to Dangwa Bus station

WEAR THICK CLOTHING

by Graecia

Bring a bag enough for your clothes. There are a lot of groceries around so if you just wanna buy your toiletries that is possible. Just bring your clothers, rubbershoes and a belt bag for your money BRING LOTS OF FILM OR YOUR DIGITAL CAM. There are shops to develop your pics. And download your digipics onto a cd

journey through the tunnel

by Graecia

Going to ASIN Hot springs you will pass 2 tunnels and a bridge, This Roadtrip is realy a different experience for a 45 minutes ride. When you ride the public transport or the keep though just stay at the middle coz people usually bring their chickens with them and load them up front or at the back but otherwise. Its really all good.

Baguio to Sagada - 7 hours bus ride

by myspices

To get to Sagada, we board the last Lizardo Trans bus at 1.00pm from the Dangwa Bus Station (near Baguio City Market) in Baguio. The bus is aircond and the seats are so-so. The journey takes 7 hours, fare is 220pesos. The bus passed by La Trinidad and made its way up to the winding and scenic Halsema Hwy. (Pls see my travelogue on Halsema Hwy on Sagada's travel page). You can sit on either side of the bus to view Halsema Hwy as the bus will make its wind around the mountain. The bus will make short stops at little villages on the way for you to use the washroom.

There are earlier buses bound for Sagada at the Dangwa Bus Station and there are other buses which are non aircond at the Slaughterhouse Road (which are bound for Bontoc and you need to take a Bontoc-Sagada bus) which is further up Dangwa Station. Unless you have got no choice on the timing of the bus, I suggest you board your bus from the Dangwa Station. D'Rising Sun buses also ply this route.
