Delicious Chinese Foods
by cyndymc about Mr. Ching Cuisine
Mr. Ching Cuisine is a Restaurant that specializes n Chinese cuisine. Found at the ground floor of Baguio Palace Hotel in Legarda Street, Mr. Ching is frequented not only by hotel guests, but the city residents and employees as well. Unlike other Chinese restaurants that are characteristically cluttered and noisy, Mr. Ching is clean and quiet, with great olfactory delight of Chinese dishes.
As a sign of hospitality, they serve house tea while you wait for your order. The waiters are alert and sensitive to guests' needs. They can even be consulted for directions on how to go to some tourist destinations in the city.
Master & Visa Credit Cards are accepted for payment. Chicken-Asparragus Soup, Chopsuey, Shanghai Rolls, Beef With Broccoli served with Mr. Ching Chinese Rice are our favorites...All that for only P340!
Their fruit shakes are great; I like their strawberry, watermelon and green mango shakes. Only P65/shake.
Like To Try All-Day Breakfast & "Binalot"?
by cyndymc about Cafe Melodin
Cafe Melodin is a cozy cafe that serves Filipino, American & Continental dishes. Conveniently located at the ground floor of the Baguio Palace Hotel, hotel guests usually go for their all-day breakfast fare (which includes coffee, chocolate or tea) ...perfect for brunch! They serve a wide variety of sandwiches, appetizers, main course, desserts, native specialties. Their staff are all friendly and alert to diners' needs. I like their all-day breakfast served with fried rice, sunny-side up egg, Baguio longanisa with "achara" (pickled papaya) and tomato slices with hot chocolate for only P125.
Another favorite is their "Binalot" Special which for P99 already includes hot, steamed rice, 2 pcs. steamed shrimps, half a pickled/salted egg, tomato slices and your choice of pork "adobo", grilled pork chop, fried milkfish, etc. wrapped ("binalot") in banana leaves.
Note: Sorry, no pictures now, as we were so hungry when we ate there; I forgot to take pictures of the food.

"Affordable" is a very subjective word, its meaning depending on people's standards and expectations. Anyway, I suggest any of these: Baguio Palace Hotel, Venus Park View Hotel, Hotel 45 and La Brea. Do check out these links which I usually share with friends/relatives who like to canvass for accommodation: http://www.gobaguio.com/bbd-hotels.html and

hi.. you might want to check out transient houses. usually P500/head/day. more affordable compared to hotels as you can cook.
