Baguio's Worst Hotel
If you dont want your vacation ruined, do not stay at Hotel Elizabeth. My husband and I made reservations 2 months in advance, requested an Executive Suite and was given a confirmation number. Less than 2 weeks before our scheduled arrival (New Year's Eve!), we received a call from Hotel notifying us that they have lost our reservation, something went wrong with their system and their computer gave our room to someone else. Even with a confirmation number, we could not get our reservation back and at this point in time, all other hotels were already booked so we could do nothing but agree to their offer, which was to give us their best room available.
They gave us a room in the back of the hotel. It was dark and gloomy, no view, and all the street noises could be heard: horse's hooves, a gazillion dogs barking, a million roosters crowing, and all the jeeps, taxis, and trucks driving by.
There was intermittent hot water. Baguio in December can get very cold and it was really annoying to find out that all of a sudden there's no hot water while you're already naked in the shower with dinner reservations (elsewhere) in an hour.
Breakfast was included. It would have been great except that they dont keep the burners lit so that your corned beef, omelet, and rice -- all cold and greasy. The staff is ridiculously untrained!!! It was difficult to get the attention of any server to get a glass of water to wash down the greasy meals.
I could go on and on but bottomline is: don't stay in this hotel. it would be a great waste of your hard earned cash.
Unique Quality: cheesy lobby decor

Baguio's New, Fresh and Friendly Hotel
Having had the negative experience in one of the former "Prime" hotels in Baguio I followed a hint of a taxi driver.
Newly constructed with a Meditarrenean flair this hotel is recommemdable. All rooms are nicely equipped, have TV, phone, minibar.
The location near the city, the hotel embedded in a pine forest, gives a nice relaxation while you stay in Baguio
Unique Quality: Friendliness of personnel, during off season listed prices are very much negotiable up to 30 % down and even more on extend stays.
