I really enjoy having to stay at Apple Tree Resort and Hotel. I am quite impressed ith their new administration, their front office and wht to look forward to after the renovation. Apple Tree will soon boast of having the only infinity pool just few meters from the beache front and their white, clean and luxurious minimalistic room interiors. I enjoyed the ambiance and the service of its employees. it really has greatly improved as against the previous comments under its previous management. I'd always go to Apple Tree Resort to unwind, enjoy myself under their white sheets, and bask in their infinity pool. Its proximity is just 15 minutes away from the city center minus the traffic. Plus you get free airport transfers.
Unique Quality: I love their newly renovated rooms and improved facilities and function halls, they have honest, acommodating and friendly employees. They always make me feel comfortable, plus i also get the privacy I want and when I request for it. Their food, the breeze and ice cold beer is excellent, making Apple Tree Resort a fantastic getaway or those who would want to get away from all the stressess of work and city life. I highly recommend that guests make a research of blogs of their new and improved plan and what events are in store as they relaunch Apple Tree Resort in June 2012 in time for Cagayan de Oro's Charter Day and their Kagay-an Festivities in August this year. By then, Apple Tree will have the following:
1. 2 Swimming Pools
2. 1 Infinity Pool
3. Overlooking Bar/Cafe
4. Posh Restaurant
5. Grille Restaurant
6. 42 Furnished and Air-conditioned Newly Renovated Rooms
7. Function Halls for upto 300 pax
8. Gaming Room
9. Board rooms
13. Al-fresco Area
14. Tour pakages and In-house Travel Ageny
Directions: Its proximity is just 15 minutes away from the city center minus the traffic. Plus you get free airport transfers.

Most of the beach resorts in CDO are expensive. Just check this website with a list of hotels in Cagayan de Oro.
Based on your budget, I suggest Chali Beach Resort and Harbor Lights (check website I previously mentioned). However these hotels does not have a shoreline to walk on. The only truly beach resort with a shoreline is Apple Tree Resort just outside Cagayan de Oro. The vicinity of Apple Tree Resort is popular among locals for a weekend getaway. The area gets busy during weekends or holidays. Check out their website at http://www.appletreeresortcdo.com/index.html
