I was in Cagayan de Oro and Camiguin last year with 3 others, and I was able to get the services of Chris in Camiguin island. His multi-cab service (non-aircon) includes transfers from the port to resort in Camiguin and the whole day island tour in Camiguin. He can also refer family-run for rent air-con near the beach in Camiguin. He has friends for the van rental from Cagayan de Oro to Balingaon port (for your trip to Camiguin)and back to CDO. His cellphone number is +639215637788.
hi, traveling to camiguin is quite easy. You have two options. you can take a bus ride going to Balingoan port and take a boat ride from there. it takes about 1 hr and a half to get to camiguin. Or you can go directly from cagayan de oro port by taking a supercat, its way more convenient. As for accommodation, it depends on the budget. Ive been there a lot of times before and i survived a 4 day trip with only 1000 pesos. but that was 4 years ago. there are a lot of options. I would suggest Paras Beach resort. I think the cheapest room there would cost around 1000/night. but there are cheaper resorts there. they can hook you up with a multicab or motorcycle that will give a a tour around the island. cost is roughly 800-1000 for multicab per day. YOu definitely need to go to sapong spring and soda waters, they say the spring there is therapeutic. its just an hour from Paras Beach resort. 2-3 days would be enough. the island is only 64 kilometers in diameter. As for Rafting and rappelling. There used to be one company. now there are a lot. the original group is Cagay. They are the most experienced guides. cost is around 500-800 per head. depends on the season and number of bookings. Paras also has a rafting company. so if you stay in their resort in camiguin. you can ask them to book you guys for a rafting adventure. Rappelling is quite expensive. around 200-300 pesos/person for a 30 min experience (including the canopy walk). but there's an alternative.... you can go to Mapawa Falls. its not part of the rafting Package, but they offer rappelling for only 80-100 pesos, and they have beautiful spring and horse back riding and river trek tours. and, its near the heart of the city of cagayan. anyway, hope that helps. Cagayan de oro city is a beautiful place. Good luck
