Pryce Plaza Hotel is the Most Luxurious Hotel in Cagayan De Oro City, it is situated in top a hill called Carmen Hill and it overlooks the Macajalar Bay, the main bay of the City, offering spectacular views (hey I'm biased ok since i've stayed here!). Hotel room rates start at 3,500 pesos for a single room then 5,000 pesos for a double room. The airport is just 10 minutes away and an SM Mall is just a 5 minute drive (or a jeepney ride ) from here!
Pruce Plaza Hotel has 81 rooms which are spacious and allow you to relax with its elegant decor and furnishings. Each are equipped with refrigerator and mini-bar, bathroom telephone, NDD/IDD, cable and what i like here is the humongous Grand Mindanao Ballroom which can allow a capacity of 400 to 1,500 people inside! We stayed here for 2 nights. Their rooms are ok. Clean and airconditioned. My only complaint is that they do not have windows. Can be claustrophobic for some.
The location is great, a bit far from the noisy center but it's still near enough to walk.

We stayed in Middleton during our trip to CDO last Feb 17 - 19. We booked one of their 2-story apartelle units for 1800Php per night. It has 2 bedrooms 2 baths a small living room, dining area, kitchen, terrace and a dirty kitchen. It can comfortably accommodate 7 people, though you would need extra beds since the rooms only have 1 bed each. However, the hotel is not located in the main street so you need to have a cab pick you up if you're planning to go out. The units look a bit run down, like it was built some 10 - 15 years ago, and needs some improvement specially in the bathroom since drains tends to clog after some time They also have a pool which is a plus. This is a typical hotel - nothing special, not too bad. One thing to watch out for is they have some particularly noisy rooms due to the disco right across the street that runs to 3 am.
Also, the walls are kind of thin so you may be impacted for late nighters or early risers

The facade is not really enticing to a person who got used to comfortable accommodations. But for a budget traveler like me, Park View is a good choice. If you are in a group of 5 or 8, the superior room is best. It can accommodate 8 persons, costing you 860/room/day (with aircon and cable TV). Located within Xavier Estates of Cagayan de Oro, it is actually quite far from the city, but only a few minutes away from SM CDO and the Airport. However, if peace and quiet if what you are looking for, this is the perfect place to stay.
