New Dawn Pensionne: Nice place

by Cosmicomic

I stayed here for nearly a week in May '10. The staff was courteous, the room was clean, and it's located near the city center. The TV was just an old box model, though, and they didn't have a restaurant, but I didn't have time to watch TV anyway and there was a diner (I believe the name was TapsiTime) right outside, so these were just minor snags and not dealbreakers. The price wasn't too high either. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay, and unless they've drastically changed in the past year, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

D' Morvie Suites: Cheap Travel

One of the cheapest place to stay is at D' Morvie. Their rooms are not that spacious but most of the time you'll be outside to explore the city, so this fits for backpackers and budget travellers.
Rates around 350-450 per 12 hours(for 2-3 pax). Check my blog for more pics.

Casa Luciana Guesthouse: Very Hospitable owners :)

by Jimbo222

Clean rooms, available for solo, twin or triple sharing. In center of city proper and around 5-10 minutes walking distance to Limketkai center (Shopping mall). Very hospitable owners. They definitely helped us with everything we needed when we were there. From suggesting places to go to to contacting personnel from Kagay (for white water rafting) and personal driver, they did this for us. Life was very much easier.

clean rooms, hospitable owners, cheap cost

St. Bridget Home: Cheap Accomodation

by barbie_sunrise

It is a dormitory type of stay. We were glad that we found this place because the other hostel that ive searched on the internet was fully booked at that time. There are rooms for 4-8 persons. Aircon or non-aircon. ranges 150-200/pax/nyt. Shared comfort room.

St. Bernadette Dormitory: saving grace..

by missmarianne

The place was just right for what you pay for, but it was our saving grace at the time. We did not really have a booked accommodation to stay at. After our supercat travel, soaking wet and salty, we reached Cagayan De Oro city hours later than the eta coming from the last beach hop in Mantigue Island, Camiguin. Inded, it was our saving grace.. for the 17 of us, no comfortable lodging was available based on the inquiries we made. Out of the will the help and the desire to have a restful night after a very looooong trip around Camiguin, I felt motivated to go through even the smallest, tiniest corner to get a place even just for a night. We found St. Bernadette from its sister hotel. Thank GOD!

It is the only dormitory I know that accommodates both men and women in one room. Usually, dorms are exclusive for one gender. Well, this is an exemption maybe. It has all the facilities expected in a dormitory.
