by Cielo_Algaeed Diamond Hotel served as our Wedding Venue and Reception last October 2006. I personally chose this hotel because of its great food and its picturesque grand staircase =) I had buffet lunch and dinner couple of times at their palm court resto and it has never been a disappointment. The view of the Manila Bay is really amazing and to add the famous Manila Bay sunset. Their room and service are good. the room designs may not be as modern and lvish compared to Hyatt Casino still this 5 star hotel was able to maintain its title as one of the best hotels in Manila. Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila is a newly opened 5 star hotel in the heart of Manila. Me and my hubby stayed here couple of times coz we are really satisfied with their service and facilities. The rooms are really spacious with a very modern touch and designs. Minimalist but very elegant and modern esp their furnitures. Additional factor why we love to stay here is because of the casino hehehe. It is just few floors away from our room so anytime of the day we can just try our luck and hit the slot machines or the rolletes hehehe. We spent here our Christmas Eve and we tried their Christmas Special Dinner. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time we tried their resto's but i think they need a new chef to better enhance the quality and presentation of their foods. Nevertheless, the loation is just great. Walking distance from Robinson's mall plus resto's, money changers and other establishments are just surrounding it. So it will never be hard to move around. Would definitely recommend this hotel. (though a little bit pricey) About 125-140USD per room/night. Theme: HotelComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: Cor Pedro Gil M.H. Del Pilar St. Ermita Manila

Trader's is a nice but nothing fancy hotel. It's in a convenient location with great views of Manila harbor.

I never stayed in this 5-star hotel but I've attended wedding receptions and not to mention my own Junior and Senior prom here. They have huge ballroom area, spacious and high-ceilinged lobby. Most conventions are held here too.
Although this hotel is a little isolated, it's within the compound of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). Within CCP complex, you can find tour reservation area for the Corregidor Island trip, Star City (carnival with lots of rides), Coconut Palace, Folk Arts Theater (where local bands and folkloric dance groups stage performances) and Cultural Center of the Philippines (home of Ballet Philippines and well-known theater groups). This resort hotel has a huge swimming pool surrounded by palm trees. It also has a good view of Manila Bay's Sunset. They also have a spa and tennis courts. My favorite hangout is the Siete Pecados, a bar, which has live cover bands. The crowd is more formal because they're older and richer! :-) Entrance fee of P250 on weeknights and P500 for Friday and Saturday.

by SLLiew The hotel was built on reclaimed land and supposedly started by Marcos's wife Imelda and was one of the best in early 1990s. It has gone a bit downhill since. It has a nice layout for a swimming pool. Value for money but it is not close to any major shopping within walking distance.
