I don't know too much on this hotel. But try the Crown Regency Hotel. It's very clean and the staff is excellent. A standard room is about $60 a night. Try checking out http://www.beyondphilippines.com. I find it very resourceful.

Travel Tips for Makati

Luxury Lounge of SM (Advantage Plus)

by machomikemd

The SM Prestige Lounge is a haven within SM Department Store for the exclusive use of SM Prestige members. It has spacious reception & waiting areas, elegant but cozy furniture, wall-to-wall carpeting, built in shelves & cabinets and a fully-functional pantry. Prestige members who want to relax and take time off from their shopping can enjoy the convenience of separate powder-cum-fitting rooms for men and women, package counter, diaper changing area, massage chairs, Nokia Charging Stations and Wi-Fi connection. A team of friendly and courteous staff is always ready to attend to the needs of members and their guests.

It is located at the 4rth floor of SM Building in Ayala Center. SM advantage card holders who accumulated 200,000 pesos worth of purchases in a year are entitled to get an SM Prestige Card w/ access to the SM Prestige Lounge.

Caveat: you must maintain your 200,000 pesos accumulated purchases for at least 2 years to renew membership at SM Prestige Plus.

City Living Experience at Ortigas

by yellowbell

For a similar city living experience (a.ka. walking the malls and dining in good restaurants), hop into the train or what we call the MRT and get off at Shaw station (4 stations away from Ayala Station). The Shaw station is connected to the 5th floor of an upscale shopping mall called Shangrila. On most weekend afternoons, you might catch a free musical event in it's atrium.

For a more common man's shopping experience, go next door to SM Megamall and put on your skating or bowling shoes. Take your pick!

Ultimate Luxury Fashion Group

by machomikemd about Hermes'

the ultimate in luxury goods, way more expensive than Louis Vuitton. everything your heart desires like men's wallet or belt, how about a terre de hermes perfume or a hermes leather shoe or a man bag that will definitely cost an arm and a leg!!! (more choices for women's shopping off course since Hermes' has more fashion products for women like the Iconic Birkin and Kelly Bags! so be ready to maxx out your platinum credit card!!!

This is their first Hermes' store in the Philippines! maxx out your platinum credit card!!!!

Free Transportation?!

by cyndymc

You can go around Makati without spending transportation money. Yes! Exercise your feet, and walk on the elevated walkways (sometimes called overpass) or the underpass or wide sidewalks. Makati is so pedestrian-friendly, you can reach your destination without hailing a cab or jeepney.

The Bedspace Experience

by galatea234 about Bedspace

There’s this hip and happening place in Greenbelt 3 that I have constantly heard of but never had the chance to visit, not until last Monday night. It’s where they serve international cuisine and the servers are clad in pajamas to somehow unify themselves with the atmosphere of the place, the place is called BEDSPACE located at Greenbelt 3 just beside the Red Box. As I entered the restaurant, it gave me that comfy feeling which you rarely get in places around Makati. The hue of the color blue surrounding every corner of this cozy little place adds up to that welcoming atmosphere not to mention the warm greetings of the friendly bartenders and waitresses. Literally, they have beds where you can sit on. And on this beds are lap-tables where the food will be placed. Really, cozy and a different experience. But to those patrons who doesn’t want their outfits to be wrinkled, there are still normal tables around with throw-pillows on the chairs to still give that unique bedspace-touch. Lunch and dinner are served, at night I heard that it’s a place where you can groove to the beat of the best DJs around the metro. They have this promo Php500 for a set meal which includes an appetizer, two main entrees and a dessert. The food are served fine-dine-cuisine-style. Calamares with tartar sauce, grilled beef, baked stuff chicken, strawberry icecream, raspberry-based drink
