Little Tokyo
by cyndymc
I've worked for so many years in Makati but didn't realize that behind the busy streets and busines center, there is a such a nice place as Little Tokyo. I've seen the signage before, and have noticed the row of Japanese restaurants along Pasong Tamo (Chino Roces Avenue). What I didn't know was the existence of a compound of Japanese restaurants as you walk past the ark and Zen garden.
My husband worked for a Japanese multinational company so he used to frequent the place. It was only recently that we went there to savor Japanese cuisine and buy some authentic Japanese ingredients and snacks. The foods are quite pricey, but the volume and taste are worth your money.
Little Tokyo is worthwhile visiting when in Makati.
Libingan ng mga Bayani
by jgbrillantes
Take a walk at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (Cemetery of Heroes). It is found in Bayani Road, Fort Bonifacio, Makati. It is where former presidents of the Philippines, national artists and Philippine historical figures were buried. One can also learn about important events in Philippine history and it's in Makati! If by any chance you like watching flying airplanes as well, it's also a good place to watch airplanes landing.

Teriyaki Boy
by joysweet about Teriyaki Boy
Located at the Paseo Center - a building where there are a lot of eating places, including Teriyaki Boy. Had lunch with Jose here as this was fairly close to my building (1 block from the Enterprise Center). We ordered: Chicken Teriyaki Boy-Don about 180p- this is their specialty. I order this everytime and so far I'm not disaapointed yet. Jose ordered the Salmon-Don about 170p- i don't think he liked it very much.
Bottomless coke at 48p and watermelon shake (which was too sweet) at 55p
