We used the 1 bedroom suite. It was very expensive. I can't say it was worth it. Probably we over paid. Ate at 7 Corners which has been a nice experience. Lots of food choices, from many types of international cuisines. For 1 night stay though, I think next time we will use a cheaper hotel...
Unique Quality: Room was very clean and the room featured good furnishings. I remember using Keihl's for bathroom giveaways.
this is the new hotel located inside the sprawling Robinsons Galleria Complex of Ortigas District
Unique Quality: wide rooms
Directions: Ortigas Ave., Corner Asian Dev., Bank Avenue, Manila, Luzon, 1100, Philippines
Personnel service was excellent, everyone was helpful and courteous... even the bell boy that helped me bring up our luggage seemed surprised when I handed him a tip.
We availed of the deluxe room. The room itself was luxurious, and as far as I could tell the amenities were complete. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom had a separate shower stall and bathtub, which surprised me.
Buffet breakfast was included in our stay, Seven Corners (where we had breakfast) serves an excellent lunch and dinner buffet. The breakfast buffet does not disappoint.
Unique Quality: The hotel itself is connected to a mall so if you don't want to eat at the hotel, there are other choices.
Directions: Commercial/Business District
I had a very pleasant stay at the Crowne Plaza in Manila.
The hotel is a luxury hotel and offers very comfortable rooms with cheap internet access.
I really appreciated the direct entrance to the nearby shopping mall from the hotel 3rd floor, which made it easier for us to have a late dinner without walking in the rain :)
I will be visiting Manila on December for 3 weeks, does anybody have a recommendation for a decent accomodation somewhere in Ortigas, preferably a 2 bedroom condo unit. My budget is around 15,000 to 20,000 pesos for the duration.
Visit www.asiahotels.com as they have a list of condos and hotels in Ortigas area. Off hand, I could think of Discovery Suites (+63 2 635 2222). I am not sure if Richmonde Hotel and Holiday Inn Galleria have condo units.
Discovery Suites would be the best choice for comfort. Richmonde hotel is also good. They have websites for you to check out.Just google search it.
try the following websites of the hotels around ortigas area:
"The Linden Suites", www.swiss-belhotel.com
"The Richmonde Hotel", www.richmondehotel.com
"Astoria Plaza", www.astoriaplaza.com
"Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila", www.crowneplaza.com
"Holiday Inn Galleria Manila", www.higalleria.holiday-inn.com
you can try to book on those hotels for a few days and then look for some condominiums around the area. There are several condominiums around Ortigas Center but they don't have online reservations or inquiries. You can only deal with them personally.
Hope this will help you a bit.
I don't know the current per-day hotel accommodation in Ortigas Area. But you can also try Manila Bulletin Classified Ads - http://www.classifiedads.com.ph/ Try looking for those condo units in Mandaluyong Area with description "near SM mall".
Good luck. Hope your stay will be safe.
