  • nice hotel with very poor service!

    by

yes, the hotel has very nice facilities!
My friend checked in this hotel for their honeymoon and paid for executive suite with eat all you can food. That was supposed to be a great deal but they were not served well. They were let to carry their heavy bags to their rooms while some attendants helped other visitors (mostly foreigners probably?) They comfortably came in their shorts and t-shirts and joined the dinner but attendants guided them in the corner while there are lots of vacant seats in the middle of the room.

well this is really not fair coz they paid them just like the other guests and probably more than the other visitors!

Unique Quality: nice views that'a all!

  • Pretty Good Chow

    by

Diamond Hotel actually serves some pretty good chow! Our first visit at the hotel was courtesy of an Ensogo.com.ph voucher we got for a late night buffet. Since the deal was only for P344, me and my high school friends Ruth, Ashley and Ivy decided to try it out for a change from our usual gimik of club hopping. We could never get enough of the quality of the food! I loved the sandwiches, Ruth loved the desserts, and Ashley and Ivy loved the salads! It was really competitive with Sofitel's Spiral buffet. And the ambiance was really something too! Good thing we saw the discount on Ensogo before it sold out!

    Nothing Spectacular, but Reasonable Accommodation

    by

Rooms here are clean and have nice, comfy and big enough beds. The bathrooms are well-appointed and maintained.

One thing, though - during my most recent stay here which was a few months ago, the breakfast buffet selection was not as great as before.

However, price here is reasonable and staff are courteous, helpful and efficient. Have not been disappointed with the service so far and I have stayed here for more than a couple of times.

My Wedding Venue

by Cielo_Algaeed about Diamond Hotel Manila

Diamond Hotel served as our Wedding Venue and Reception last October 2006. I personally chose this hotel because of its great food and its picturesque grand staircase =)

I had buffet lunch and dinner couple of times at their palm court resto and it has never been a disappointment.

The view of the Manila Bay is really amazing and to add the famous Manila Bay sunset.

Their room and service are good. the room designs may not be as modern and lvish compared to Hyatt Casino still this 5 star hotel was able to maintain its title as one of the best hotels in Manila.

here are some suggestions:

Furusato Japanese Restaurant
1712 Roxas Blvd, Manila

Sanbashi
South Road corner Parade Street, Lunte Park, Manila

these two are in the malate, rozas blvd area and quite near where you will be staying..there are more choices in the Makati area, its not near your place but let me know if you want more suggestions in other areas of manila.

Teppanyaki cooking. Worth a visit is Kimpura in Ayala Center,Makati. They also have a branch in Greenhills Shopping Center. Definitely, it's worth the distance. About 10 kms away from Malate area. It's our local version of Benihana Resto in the US.
