Unusual Short stay Memorable

This hotel really is a mixed bag
It is next to Ocean Park and a number of the rooms have , instead of windows a huge full wall aquarium. It really is kind of wow to have large tropical fish swimming past your bed all day and night. There is a electronic blind you can use to close it off if you want and a good idea before sleeping as it is light in the morning.
Ok other than this , and the fact that the hotel is new, modern and clean and I found the beds most comfortable, there is not a lot to attract you to it.
Food and drinks are either too expensive or poor quality and the restaraunt is the cafe serving the aquarium too- kind of a tacky and busy buffet.
It is inconveniently arranged as you have to walk into the main Ocean Park entry to get to your hotel, and then up a lift to the reception area. There is a bizarre 'reception', out the front on street level , but this is no more than an alternative access point to the main Ocean Park entry, so its kind of useless. You have to walk quite a distance to your room as the aquarium is one long wall, so the hotel is arranged along the corridoor of that wall. There are 'plain rooms' overlooking the bay, normal windows and no aquarium.
The location is not great, even though its not too far to the main streets of manila city, its too far to walk comfortably and so you need taxis. There are not a lot of taxis around , especially later at night , so you have to walk a short distance to the road to get a street taxi or haggle in typical Manila fashion on the price as the taxis know they are in short supply.
My recomendation is to use this hotel for a short stay where you will be going out to dinner most nights and enjoy the experience of a huge in room aquarium once. If you want to impress someone for a short stay - its good. I would not want to be there long term as its kind of difficult to use this hotel. I also had some problems with the booking but the staff were quick to fix it up and they were attentive and polite.

Unique Quality: As described above, the one most unique feature of this hotel is the aqua rooms have a full wall of aquarium, joined to other rooms ( but you cant see through) and so you have a very interesting experience of seeing fish swim past your bed 24/7. It nicely done and very unique.
the fish swim from your room on down the 'hall' too the other rooms so you get a sort of underwater experience.
Its not often booked out , so try booking through one of the hotel web sites and you can get a great deal.
If you dont ask you will get single beds- so make sure you ask for a double bed as the cost is the same.
