Kabayan Hotel Pasay - The Balikbayan Hotel

As I have mentioned in my profile, I am a Hotel Enthusiast, regardless of category level. I find everything about it very interesting - from the building structure & design, to the smallest amenity & simplest service.

In this review, I will share to you OUR PERSONAL LEVEL OF SATISFACTION, base on our experience, by simply rating the amenities and services that we have used and availed during our stay. My rating will be from the scale of 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest). I will also highlight the hotel's outstanding qualities and features, if there’s any.

Now, if after reading my review you will find yourself asking; "is it really true?". Well, my only advise to you is, "go check in, and see for yourself..." ;o)

Ratings for Kabayan Hotel Pasay:
Reception - 8
Room - 9
Shuttle Service - 9
Breakfast - 6
Bell Service - 6
Room Service - 7
Housekeeping - 7

Unique Quality: CLEAN ROOM - I rated the hotel's room 9, not because it has exceptional amenities but because the room is very, very clean. The moment I entered the room, I was really impressed by its cleanliness (compared to other budget hotels that we've tried before). Absolutely no foul smell inside the room and in the toilet/shower room.

SHUTTLE SERVICE - The shuttle service fee is reasonably priced, and the driver was very professional. Also, the hotel provides an airport shuttle pick up for FREE. Isn't it great? Just make sure to provide your complete flight details upon making the room reservations.

Economical and relaxing as well

I had a great time at Kabayan Hotel. The rooms were large enough for 2 beds and the bathroom was spacious as well. Hot water. Clean towels and toiletries. The TV had cable and there was a small refrigerator. A plus was the free breakfast and lunch provided with your stay.

Unique Quality: Location is great if you wish to travel using the railway system. There are nearby groceries and fast food places as well.

near airport /clean /safety/friendly/reasonable

it looks overprice for budget traveller.double room starts at almost 1700peso ,but it includs pick up from airport and breakfast for 2person.and room has hot/cold shower ,toilet cable tv ,aircorndition.if u look for airport transit hotel in manila
kabayan hotel is my recommendetion.considering about free airport picking up and quality of the hotel, the price is ok.they also have dormitory from 400peso including breakfast.its great for budget traveller.in philippines especially in manila .there are short of hostel for budget traveller.and some very dirty and not clean and no good security and unfriendly hostel like town house even can gather many tourists ,but kabayan is of course 1000000times better than town house hotel ,kabayan hotel is clean and reasonable hotel .

Affordable yet convenient

I booked this hotel through internet and got confirmation through email, Did not even ask for deposit. This hotel offers free pick up from airport and free breakfast. Although the standard room is very basic the price is not so bad. Staff are friendly and accommodating. This is very near the MTR which is very convenient for us. We used the MTR to go Cubao, Makati and SM Mega mall.

Cheapest Hotel and near in the Airport

The place is not a one of those luxurious hotels but this hotel is very clean..last time when we stayed here it wasn't like now, I guess its newly renovated. 8th floor and they have friendly staff. They can also pick you up from the airport, you just have to call the front desk and no charge. Clean rooms and very reasonable price!

Unique Quality: They have a dorm type accomodation and its only 299 pesos with daily set breakfast. Ideal for backpackers. This place is much better than the YMCA or Boy scouts area. Right next to the MRT( train station)

See we have php415 only for accomodation

by allelli about Kabayan Hotel

Actualy I haven’t stayed yet to this hotel but may friend from far provinces upon arriving in international airport they used to stay here for a night or two before going to there provinces, when I visit them I saw many foreigned tourist as well. This is the cheapest Hotel in Manila they have for backpacker as low as php415net/pax with common toilet and bath, with aicone and breakfast included. if you want a single room with aircone, tv,phone and owned toilet and bath with breakfast, they have as low as php800net/room. Here, everyone is a VIP, Very Important People It’s because they seriously mean there quest for excellent Filipino Hospitality offering great food that's reasonably priced; and the staff that will go the extra mile to make sure that your accommodations are comfortable, clean, safe and secured and within your budget.

why many people stay here

by dame_akanbo about the town house hostel manila

drunk staff and uneducated staff and fatty sleepy man are working here ,all staff here are not at all trained ,but for me this 3 are very memorable person.room starts from 300peso this hotel (without dormitory ),its only 6dollar .but I thought even pig live better room than us ,actually dog house in my country in my house is far more clean than this room.
and you must know u can not go to toilet in night time if you stay one of the 2 house of the hostel .because you must walk about one minute to other house to do toilet and shower, because one of the house of them do not have water supply.in that room some single room and dormitory are, dormitory is only 4dollar,but thinking about no water supply and price of the country ,its veryvvery expensive.

thinkin about the staff of the hostel and owner who do not carte about the management of the hostel ,I can say u had better stay at nadividad pension or malate pension in malate or some unfamous hotels with aircorn from 700peso cleaner fan room from 400 peso in malate ermita area ,or christine guest house (look my page )in laspinas city with good manager and cheaper price almost near of airport .or if u can pay more ,kabayan hotel in pasay are also nice choice, this is star class hotel not hostel or piggy house unlike townhouse hotel .but they have also dormitory room from 400peso including breakfast .

I still wonder why many person choose the hostel only because its cheap .if u like cheap ,its also nice idea to slepp in luneta park.its free ,its nice .

and ....townhousehostel boast about airport convinient ,but of course u can not walk to airport from the hostel and kabayan hotel and christine guesthouse also just 20 minutes from airport by car ,and even ermita and malate ustay ,its only 25minutes or like that and taxi costs very cheap in manila .

and food of the hostel also not cheap at all and u must walk 5minutes to restaurant if u want to eat standard food .

Cheap, Clean, Accessible to MRT Manila Accomodation:

by limledi

Anyone recommend a cheap, clean, short walking distance to MRT accommodation in Manila, preferably in Malate? Is Hotel Juliano in Ermita ok? Anyone stayed here before? Thanks.

Depends on what you think "cheap" is. A tourist coming from Japan might think a hotel that is $75 a night is cheap.

Do you have a price range. Need A/C?

I like the Ermita area, somewhere not far from the Robinson Mall. But this area is popular with lots of tourists and the hotels may not be in your price range.

Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. Price range less than P2T. Standard/aircon/bath will do. Located short walk from MRT/LRT. Basic but clean.

MRT is the one traversing EDSA, could you be talking about LRT 1? coz this is the one near ermita. Corona hotel besides ermita church is good and less expensive. you can also check bayview hotel, infront of US embassy.

near both lrt & mrt stations would be better.

There is this Kabayan Hotel at EDSA corner Taft Avenue. Actually that is also where MRT and LRT met.
