Decent value if this is your neighborhood
by GenuinelyCurious
Makati Palace offers solid service, decent accommodations, good security and an ambience and features that live up to expectations. It’s a solid mid-range option and its location is useful for those who need to be close to the business and pleasure centers of Makati.
It’s a bit far from the major shopping centers of Greenbelt and Glorietta. If that’s important or if seeing the red light features right outside your door isn’t your cup of tea, think twice.
Unique Quality: Right in the heart of sin city... yet close to the business and shopping areas of Greenbelt and Fort Bonifacio
Directions: Take a cab and ask for it by name.

Great place to stay in Makati
by DJ_Rolo
This hotel is pretty nice. It is located on P. Burgos st. My first room was older, but then i asked to move to one of the renovated rooms. The room was very spacey and very clean. The service was excellent, from the front counter, the door guys to the restaurants. The Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor was excellent. Overall i would recommend this hotel to all who go out there.
Unique Quality: The pool is on the 28th floor and is really nice. There Spa is excellent. The Japanese restaurant is good.

2 star hotel

I really loved the Makati Palace Hotel. It costs something like 2000 pesos a night
(almost 40 USD), but the rooms are very beautiful and clean. You have a tv,phone, fridge, airconditioning, own bath.
Unique Quality: There's a swimming pool on top of the hotel and also a gym if you feel like working out. The view is wonderful from the hotel.

by GenuinelyCurious about Oxford Suites Makati
I stayed at the Oxford Suites twice. The first time, I found the staff warm, the room congenial and the price fair. They offer a not-too-bad breakfast with the room fare. It was a pretty good value.
The second time, however, something happened. The staff seemed to stop caring. New management? And this was not my own experience. A good friend who always stayed there finally got fed up with the deteriorating service and a business colleague has now decided to book visiting clients in Makati Palace. Most recently, a friend said that construction noise disturbed his sleep in the early morning.
To top it off, Oxford raised their rates significantly. Surely, they are skating on an old reputation.

Inexpensive 2 bedroom suite manila
by dreamin001
I am traveling with my Gf and 2 boys ages 15 and 16. I think a 2 bedroom suite would be ideal probably in makati, malate or ermita. I would like to be near shopping, restaurants and nightlife. I am looking for a good value as much as overall cost but hoping for the $50-$100 range. Any suggestions?

I had my friends with their 2 kids (9, 11 Yrs) came over to visit me in April and we all stayed in the Orchid Garden Hotel in Malate. They had 2 connecting rooms for $75 total, including 2 breakfast. There is a swimming pool. Orchid Garden Hotel is right behind Harrison Plaza Shopping Mall, so you can just walk across the street. Roxas Boulevard, Manila Zoo are in very near and Rizal Park is a short taxi ride away, as is Intramuros, the old City of Manila. The area is clean.

You can also try Atrium Suites which is between Buendia and Taft. Their lobby is on the 15th floor, not ground. http://www.travelsmart.net/ph/hotels/Atrium_Hotel/
Got the above link from Google. They don't seem to have their own website but they gave us good rates.

You might want to try Makati Palace hotel. They have a 2 story suite. Downstairs was the living room and i dont remember if there was a kitchen ot not, but upstairs there were 2 bedrooms. 1 master and a 2nd room with 2 twin beds. It might be exactly what you are looking for. It was around $85.00/night. The area is convenient, its a short 5 minute taxi ride from all the major malls, plenty of restaurants fast food and sit down around it, a couple bars, an internet cafe and even a 7/11 across the street..... heres the website: http://www.makatipalacehotel.com.ph/home.htm

If you want to be near makati, specifically the ayala center, cheapest bet is the Gilarmi apartments(http://www.mansiongroup.com.ph/GilarmiSite2/), about US$72 per night for a 2-bedroom deluxe. being just a few meters from Glorietta, the location is a winner, facilities however... well, let's just say it's a bit rustic with its 70s decor.
Now, if you guys want a bit more comfort, another one you might want to check out is the Somerset Millenium serviced residence. This place has better facilities and decor, and a block away from Greenbelt. about US$110-135 per night, i think.
Hope this helps... Lisa

How long will you be staying? It gets cheaper when you stay for a longer period of time. A friend of mine markets the Citadel condotel. We might get a good price from her.
