The Nichols Airport Hotel situated in a slum close to the airport was one of the most bad in terms of value for money . I am an experienced traveller and been to many countries, but this was one of my worst experiences and an unpleasant surprise.
In terms of price/value realy a rip-off: paid almost 50 euro for a simple shed ( room 348)with hardly any " furniture".. Even the glass for drinking water was missing . An open "closet" with 4 plastic cloth hangers. Not a single drawer at the room .Ancient garbage in fact. The only acceptable thing was the bed itself the bathroom. The bathroom was provided with written poster with the advice not to smoke because " its bad for your health and we love to see you again as a customer" which i could appreciate as a cynical joke .
The restaurant was same in terms op value for money : 30 p for small bottle of " purified water " so no mineral water . 248 pesos for a very simple poor breakfast .( i have a picture of the menu list) . The dinner a jollibee quality but 3 times more expensive ( magnetron meal).
On there website they advertize loudly for free airport pickup ( 5 min drive from the hotel) but I booked at Agoda and at the reception they told me the airport pick-up was only free when booked at there own website. So had to pay 300P for less then a 5 minute drive .
I would advice every person : do your home-work before booking and don't book at Agoda
but choose another hotel-site if you wish to do it that way . When I was booking on their site they said "only 2 rooms left" but that was a fairytale because plenty of rooms when I arrived on july 5 .
So in fact a third world country hotel for first world prizes . There are , even in Manila , better ones to find in terms of value for money.

Directions: 5 minutes from the airport in a slum area.
