The A. Venue Hotel Suites

The A.Venue Hotel Suites Manila, is a boutique 3-star hotel, in the heart of Makati City, Philippines. It is a favorite choice because of its proximity and accessibility in the city center. It is also very near malls, restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops and bars.

All rooms in A.Venue Hotel Suites Manila are equipped with air conditioning, television and tea/coffeemaker. There is also a microwave and a kettle in the room. There are TVs in the living room and the bedroom with a DVD player (in the living room only).

Guests can choose between one or two bedroom suites. The one bedroom suites contain the following facilities: one king size bed, living and dining room, bathroom and a very, very small sitting bath tub (which you had to literally sit in order to take a shower!), Wi-Fi access (which is not free), telephone and housekeeping.

When I was in Manila staying at this hotel, it was during the raining season (with typhoon). I had a terrible experience staying in one of the rooms as the air-conditioner in the living room and in the bedroom were leaking and making terrible noises during heavy rain. It seems that the technician did not install the air-conditioner properly, therefore everytime it rains, water will leak from the air-conditioner.

The toilet also had problems as it could not be flushed properly and if you hold on to the flush for more than a minute, water will seep out of the toilet bowl.

However, I do enjoy the friendly service by all the staff at the hotel. They went out of their way to serve me my breakfast (which I didn't get to eat as I was fasting) in my room at 6.05pm for me to break my fast as I was observing the month of Ramadhan.
