Bus to Illocos or Northern provinces

by dwainesolly

Does anyone know any bus terminals near NAIA International Airport that have buses to Illocos Sur or northern provinces close to Illocos?

Re: Bus to Illocos or Northern provinces

hi there! Victory Liner buses got trips to northern part of the philippines like baguio, olongapo, ilocos, etc. If you are from NAIA, the terminal nearest to it is in PASAY City. they also have a terminal in Cubao, Quezon City... enjoy ilocos.. i will be going there too on march.. but we will take the plane from manila. =)

the nearest bus terminal is in pasay... you can take victory liner...

the nearest i can think of is five star bus along tramo street in pasay. but i think it only goes as far as pangasinan

Victory liner and Five star busses goes up as far as baguio only. They dont reach farther than agoo in la union province.

Your nearest bus station (for ilocos sur and up destinations) from Naia is Partas bus line which has a terminal near the MRT edsa pasay station.

If your destination is the region 2 area (cagayan valley up to tuguegarao and piat), victory pasay will then be ok , but not for the ilocos provinces.

best option is victory liner, you may want to check their website for info like routes & fares

I would like to say again, victory liner does not go to ilocos sur and ilocos norte. If your trip is to ilocos sur and upward, you will need to do a transfer to other bus companies along the way if you take the victory liner bus in pasay.

Before recommending victory liner please Review your geography or look at the map of the philippines and then compare it with the route map of victory liner.

1. Finally, I got my multiple-entry tourist visa for India today. Valid for 3 months. (June 5 - Sept. 5, 2006)

Since I will leave Bangkok for India this 18th of July, I can spend only 50 days in India. It means to say that I can spend only few days in Nepal and other neighboring countries if I'll be successful in getting visa in Kolkata, India.

Feeding the Poorest Children

by listenandlearn

Every Saturday at 8am, we would feed the poor of the poorest children in the heart of Manila which is called TONDO. We feed children from 1 year old till 15 years old. Many of which come with little clothes as they can't afford to buy even under clothes. So, we contact friends and friends of friends to donate clothes and some money and out of that collection we have a cook that cooks two dishes, a soup hefty dish with meat mix, vegetables and rice. These with the help of volunteers we all gather to feed them. Normally we would have four to six security police to call in order. Every Wednesday, we do have doctors that too is a volunteer work for the medical help and they do couple of thousands check ups, dental, immunization shots, cataract surgery and other light surgeries done. It is a very good satisfactory feeling doing these for the poorest children and my husband and I feel very happy giving to the poor children.

by slaybelle

In Nov. 2000 the Philippine senate began to impeach Estrada on corruption charges. Massive street demonstrations and the loss of political support eventually forced Estrada from office. Vice President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, daughter of former President Diosdado Macapagal and the holder of a doctorate in economics from Georgetown University, became president in Jan. 2001. In April 2001 the Philippine Supreme Court ruled that Estrada had effectively resigned from office when he stepped down, brushing aside his argument that he was merely on a leave of absence. The ruling confirmed Macapagal-Arroyo as president and stripped Estrada of his presidential immunity, paving the way for his trial on corruption and bribery charges. Can a female president rule this double standard country? Will see - Former President Aquinos wife couldn't cut the mustard.

Zagu- local chewy Tapioca balls and nata de coco

by machomikemd

The sun is heating up the country once more, and it's time to cool yourself down. Why not try a glass of pearl shakes. They are different juices mixed with large sweet tapioca, sometimes sweet bean and nata de coco too. ZAGU introduces the "Pearl Drink" to the Philippine market. The drink's uniqueness and the variety of flavors it offers broaden its appeal to the customers and keeps them interested and the variety of add ons like sweet tapioca balls (sago in Tagalog), nata de coco pearls, rice crispies and more.

It was founded in 1999 by a filipino lady enterprenuer who studied in University of British Columbia in Vancouver who found the perfect recipe to a sweet, chewy and soft tapioca ball and it's fame spread. Before, long lines where seen in their stalls but there are no long lines nowadays.

they are available in major malls in the Metro Manila Area.

Prices start from 35 pesos for a small cup, 40 for medium and 45 for big. add 5 pesos for addtional orders of tapioca balls or nata de coco pearls or other toppings.
