I have stayed at the the Pearl Manila hotel on Taft Avenue,Malate. They have a website.Hotel has roof top pool, gym, piano bar, etc. It is 5-10 minute walk to robinsons mall and casino.Rail line is 100-200 metres away.Out the front of the hotel there is a Jollibee,Mcdonalds, internet cafe,24 hour store, police station...but like anywhere in Manila, take a taxi at night..they are very inexpensive.I found the hotel to be clean, safe, friendly and good value.
Directions: Malate
The Pearl Manila Hotel is considered the Pearl of the Bay with its proximity to the famous tourist spot, the Manila Bay. It boasts of accommodations that are reasonably-priced yet hits every traveler’s needs right on the head. Giving its guests unparalleled service while making sure they get value for their money is the primary concern of the Pearl Manila Hotel’s management.
In Pearl Manila, we had the best of both worlds! We were able to focus on matters that are important for work during the day then cap the night with a fun-filled rendezvous either in the hotel’s own entertainment hotspots or Manila’s captivating night life.
Unique Quality: The location of this prime hotel is really apt for the demanding business traveler who also wants to get a slice of the leisure pie from time to time. There’s a myriad of things to do! We traversed the walled city of historic Intramuros, frolicked at the bustling Rizal Park, checked out the National Museum and played golf in Club Intramuros’ 18-hole golf course.
We also tried the hotel's own restaurants and bars. We dine in Seven Seas Café and savored a wide selection of Asian cuisine via buffet or a la carte meals. We absolutely love seafood! That's why when we saw the Oyster Bar, where the Piano Bar showcases different oyster presentations, we just had to try it. Food there was divine! The next day we dined in Pret A' Manger because we were up for something light. Pret A’ Manager is a French Sandwich Bar, which offers premium sandwiches with an assortment of salads and pasta. It also offers value meals during lunch, plus ice cream and coffee preparations for the sweet tooth. For Japanese food lovers, there’s Nagoyami Mami, the hotel’s own sushi bar which offers delicate sushi.
Pearl Manila has its own website and you can book directly with them online! How grand is that?
Directions: To get to the hotel, head down on Roxas Boulevard towards Manila. Turn right onto U.N. Avenue then make a right at General Luna street. The hotel will be on your right.
I stayed at the Pearl Manila. It was a nice hotel. It is in good location with 24 hours grocery store across the street with internet cafe in same building and one across the street. There is also a Jollibee and MacDonalds on same block. The security is kind and couteous and because hotel is a high rise , you are well above the noise of traffic. The staff is very friendly and the manager was very helpfull. Rooms are well airconditioned and cable TV in the rooms. Also has a pool. The suite I was in also had a refrigerator.

Hello guys..i will be going to Manila this coming july 17-19.. I really need help in going from the aiport to Roxas boulevard..and can you suggest a nice, cheap and clean hotel where my Mom and I can stay? It must be near the US Embassy..tnx and regards..
Take a cab from the airport to Roxas Blvd. It's the simplest and fastest way. You can check out the following hotels:
1. Bayview Park - across the street from the US embassy (3-4 star)
2. Manila Pavilion (Holiday Inn) - 2 blocks from the embassy (4-5 star)
3. Manila Hotel - 1 block from the embassy (5 star)
4. City Garden - 2-3 blocks from the embassy (standard hotel)
There are also other standard hotels, probably 10-15 minutes walk from the embassy and near Robinson's Faura.
