YMCA Makati Manila

Its far ago to stay there on my frst trip to php, but I heartily cn recommend this small, less known accomodation smwhere on outskirts of makati (20 min wth tricycle?). Its ok wth 900 ps for single, up to family 2000, swimming pool of continental measure included and several sports yard within the safe courtyard allthough .. a little bit on outskirts of manila/makati fields.. for budget traveller

Unique Quality: swimming pool 25 meters is included, often used by exercising philippines by entrance , remote but safe, near easy cantine wth fair prices (breakfast) - enclosed to swimming pool,

Homestay Ambiance

From the outside, the YMCA of Manila looks like an abandoned unfinished building. Inside, it has clean and liveable rooms for budget travelers. Basic accomodation only (P800), consisting of a clean aircon room with two beds, a chair, a cabinet and cold shower (no hot shower!). No tv nor phone but there's one of each at the lobby. Fan rooms go for P600. The hostel has an olympic-size swimming pool (not free; guests have to pay another P100 to be able use it).

If Cherry Blossoms is to Robinsons Ermita, the YMCA is to the SM Ermita.

Update: YMCA now has hotel-like rooms for P1200 a night.
