Dakak Park Beach Resort: A wonderful getaway
Dakak Park Beach resort is about half an hour's drive from the Dipolog airport. We liked the place because it's so exclusive. The resort has complete amenities and several restaurants to choose from and the prices are quite affordable. There are a number of activities that one can do from swimming in any one of their 3 pools, kayaking, snorkeling, island hopping or touring the nearby city of Dapitan. The cottages are nice and well-maintained.
Unique Quality: For nature lovers, Dakak Park will not disappoint. The beach is well kept, there are hiking trails and the place is surrounded by beautiful mountains.

Great breakfast buffet and food. Very private and clean.

Villa Pilar: Staying in Dapitan
Villa Pilar is located along Dapitan City's Sunset Boulevard. The boulevard in itself is a very scenic stretch of road, lined with restaurants and resorts on one side, and the sea on the other.
Commuting from Villa Pilar is very easy. Tricycles are readily accessible from Villa Pilar, and for a mere P5.00 fare, you can go to almost any part of the city.
The whole compound itself is fairly spacious. The rooms are also spacious, clean, airconditioned, and with its own shower/comfort room. For an extra hundred pesos, you can get a cable TV in your own room (the TV is quite small for me, though.)
the room we got was only P950/night (two double beds, good for four, with cable TV).
Unique Quality: i would really recommend this place. it offers real value for your money--the rates are cheap and reasonable.
if you want to take a stroll, Sunset Boulevard and the Gloria Entertainment Center are just nearby.
oh, and a full moon looks really exotic and romantic as you stroll along the boulevard..
