Grand Menseng Hotel is great value
I stayed in the Grand Menseng hotel and it was nice. It was incredibly good value for the price, about $50 a night, with great service and complimentary breakfast buffet. Rooms were very nice, big and comfortable, TV, aircon, room service, and it was right in the heart of Davao City. There is a small pool on the rooftop with a poolside bbq. Ask for a room away from the road for a better night's sleep though!
Unique Quality: Pool, BBQ by the pool, comfortable accomodations, huge breakfast buffet.

Affordable Hotel in the City
If you are looking for an affordable hotel to stay, I will recommend Grand Men Seng. People here are very hospitable too. However, if you are very particular about food, I dont suggest this place. I was not satisfied with their buffet breakfast because they only serve limited choices of food. Likewise, they dont refill the exact food originally served in the table.
