Costabella Beach Resort: Peaceful

Luxury resort, but for every budget.
From Expensive rooms with wi-fi and ocean view .... to basic sharing dormitories.
Not "all in" ... wanne play some pool? 50peso. wanne play some ping-pong? 50peso ...

positive: very quiet

Tambuli Beach Club: moderately priced beach resort

This is a very old Picture since The Last Time I was in Cebu and Mactan was in 1989. We stayed at Tambuli Beach Resort here at Mactan Island, which was not yet that developed and popular. Today, Mactan Island has a Shangrila Resort, Hilton and Marriott and other countless resorts due to it's sparkling white sand beaches. Tambuli Beach Club then had been the best. Rooms then where just 1,500 pesos a day but is now eclipsed by the New Comers.

Unique Quality: Today, Tambuli Beach Club I've learned has a new east wing and has more than 150 rooms for guests and day vacationers and the rooms start at 3,500 pesos for single and 4,000 pesos for twin and offers lots of activities besides the beach like para sailing, jet ski, aqua sail, banana boats, snorkelling, etc.

Shangri La Resort and Spa: Cebu's 5 star Hotel

Spent my 23rd bday at Shangri La Resort and Spa , Mactan. its the best 5 star resort in the island of cebu.Its the perfect place for holidays or occasions for families and honey mooners. Staff are great. The resort/hotel is suited to people of all ages. They have a man-made beach, pools, restaurants with exptremely delicous food, seaside chillout bar (best ive ever been to) and watersports facilities. Everything ion the resort is class A. I'd recommend this resort to people with bigger budget. The only thing hard on the resort is the walking part, the resort is big and might not be good for senior citizens(just the walking part).

-have a game area -video arcades, kids activity center, sports (tennis, volleyball, badminton , golf , etc)

-Superb meals
-kids' playground
-toddlers' station
-boutiques
-restaurants serve all cuisine

etc...etc... everything first class

Plantation Bay: Mactan Island's Best Resort

A secluded self-contained resort with the amenities of a 4 or 5 star hotel. We stayed at the "lagoon side room" which features a patio that opens directly to the man-made beach. It was really fun for my son, who upon waking up in the morning, would don on his swimming trunks and dive into the water in less that 10 seconds. The resort has at least 3 restaurants with both filipino and international cuisine, several pools and water slides, numerous activities like mini-golf, wall-climbing and kayaking.

SDR Apartments: Serviced Apartments

It was cheap and the room was okay, except that the bathroom had glass for a wall and no door (weird). Location is good if you don't mind walking to transpo (about 5 mins). But they didn't tell us about the laundry and cleaning charge ($10) which they sprung on us when we were checking out. Still cheap enough, especially since it has a kitchen. You could get a cheaper hotel room though.

Cebu Beach Club

This is one of many seaside resorts along Mactan Island's shores. The hotel is situated off the main highway passing through local villages.

Unique Quality: The hotel is ill equipped with basic neccesities, eg. toothbrushes, toothpastes and hot water pot. No coffee facilities available. The hotel is linked with neighbouring Tambuli East and West Wings. The pools at Tambuli are much better than Cebu Beach Club.
