Im a Brit leaving for Mactan Island December for 3 months so looking for reasonably prices bars and restruants. Any advice Thanks in advance

Slabadoo has live band every night and is good but not so cheap
Magellans pub has a live band Friday/ Saturday nights and good food low priced
3 months? relax... don't rush it :)
surely you will find a nearby joint at wherever you may be staying. then you'll eventually find your best choice.

over at mainland (cebu city area), Badger's Bar is where many expats hang out (I think the owner is even your compatriot). Drifters Bar over at Gaisano Country Mall is another such place.
Normally it is safe to exchange currency at an international airport. However, at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, it does not offer the best rate. I actually had to *bargain* the exchange rate for Hong Kong dollars between two foreign exchange dealers whom were placed beside each other. The counters are located on the right after passing through customs. I actually got a better rate at Ayala Shopping Center!
