St. Joseph's Inn by asianbelle My room is at the second floor. There is one cushioned bed and one table, hey where is the chair? I was supposed to share the T/B with occupants of the other 6 rooms in the right wing, but good for me, the rooms were vacant so I had it all to myself. Not that I wanted to stay long under the ice-cold shower.
As soon as I open the only window of the room, I get a good view of cloud/fog capped mountains. What a refreshing change from the smog-filled city! George's Guest House is run by Mang Teodoro and Ate Dora (such pleasant people). Room rates are 200php per head with quaint rooms (that are color coded) and nonstop cold/hot water shower. They have rooms at the deck thats good for big groups (4 pax above). Rooms at the 3rd floor comes w/ cable TV (a great way to waste your time after curfew, 10:00PM. Which they take very seriously! ).
Roof deck rooms are BIG w/ 4 Queen size beds with a fantastic view of the province. 3rd floor rooms are quite small, w/ 2 queen size beds some with a terrace to enjoy the view but with cable TV. They provide clean towels, extra blankets, nice chat and great hospitality. I visited the website of George Guest House before even coming to Sagada and I have exchanged emails with its owner, Mr. Irenius Tauli, who's a very gracious and helpful person. He answered even those questions that are not related to lodging. (Ex. Will an all-girl group survive the Sagada adventure?" His answer sealed the deal for us that indeed, we are going!) One of the first few signs I saw when we got off from the bus was Goerge Guesthouse's. It was a hand-painted placard on a street light post. It was a colorful graffiti of the lodge which has an arrow that pointed down a long winding road. After some clueless searching on that long winding road down from the Municipal Hall, we found George Guesthouse. It's a simple four-storey house painted with faux bricks, with a small store as an entrance. One of the guest house's personnel led us to the penthouse. It was on the fourth floor of the small building. We fell in love with the clean and cozy room she showed us. It's a medium-sized room with four beds, two of which are good for two persons. So that room can house 6-8 persons! It has a private bathroom inside. I took the bed near the windows while Anj and Ivee decided to sleep in one of the large beds near mine. Ramil and Candice took each bed in the inner room, near the bathroom and the backdoor. The cost? PhP175.00 each per day. Now that's cheap! The thing I like the most about our room is that we have a terrace, and a good view of a part of Sagada. We can see Demang and Dagdag villages from our place. Our eyes can stretch as far and see the highlands and the lowlands. Another added view: the Babbey Rice Terraces! We can just tie the curtains, look out the window, and see the glorious gift God has given the Sagadans. Or better, we can just go out our room, lean on the stone-washed rail, inhale the fresh pine-scented air, and feast our eyes on the sceneries before us.
For the great views, the clean sheets, the cozy inner room, the cold terrace, the soft cushions, the can-be locked Orocan cabinets, the street light-patterned terrace lightings, the purple flannela blankets, the ice-cold water... And for having a service which helped us on our way to the bus station. Now that was just fantastic and helpful coz it was very hard for us to carry everything (our baggages doubled because of all those pasalubongs!) up to the GL station. Hehe! All these for such a cheap price... GO NA SA GEORGE GUESTHOUSE! I so recommend this place. The only downside was that they didn't have a guestbook where we can write our names and our comments and suggestions. But then again, they have their website naman where we can post our pics, so that pretty much makes up for that. Hehe! This was recommended inn at Sagada.
If you wanted to be surrounded by pine trees, rock formations and sounds of birds singing, choose to stay at the Mapiya-aw Inn. This is also one among the lodging houses in Sagada. It is farther away from the plaza. The averate rate for a room with a common bathroom is P200 per person. Those with private bath are about P400-500 per person per night. These rates are standards for all reigstered inns in Sagada. Theme: InnPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Sagada, Mt. I love the breakfast and dinner at St. Joseph's Inn. The fresh boiled beans were so tender and delicious! If you are a vegetarian, this is the place to be! Although the room gets so cold at night and there is no running hot water, I still enjoyed my stay at St. Joseph's Inn. The staff were courteous and great! The St. Joseph's Inn & Cafe is run by the Episcopalian mission.
It is the closest among the lodging houses in Sagada. It is very convenient to stay at the St. Joseph's Inn. You can either rent a small house or opt for a room with a private bath. Theme: InnPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Sagada, Mountain Province

St. Joseph's Resthouse by morgagni It's right at the heart of Sagada, atop a small hill. It's less than 5 minutes walk from the town hall. The bedrooms and bathrooms are basic and clean. Rates start at P150/head/night for the dormitory-type rooms with a communal bathroom.
Has it's own cafe/rastaurant beside it. Serves great food! Theme: InnPrice: less than US$20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averagePhone: +63-918-5595934Directions: Across the street from the compound of St. Mary's Episcopalian Church. Don't worry, this is hard to miss.

-very affordable for 300pesos/room/night -room was spacious (our room had walk-in closet) -queen-size bed -shared bathroom (no hot water but can request for bucket of hot water for Php20) tip: bathroom gets icky at the end of the day, so best beat the rush and catch a newly-cleaned bathroom first thing in the morning. - don't forget to obey Sagada curfew of 9pm...they might lock you out -lobby is very cozy with fireplace and restaurant -try their home-made French brea for breakfast & oatmeal cookies
great location....in front of town plaza and across tourist information center Theme: InnPrice: less than US$20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: town plazaDirections: town plaza NGA E!

You'll be surrounded by these at St. Joseph's. by nimato, 1 more photos Saint Joseph Rest House, I think, is the best pension/guesthouse in Sagada at the moment. The place used to be a convent in the past. It has basic but comfortable dorm type rooms for backpackers (P150-200 /head /night) in one building and a cluster of bungallow-type cottages for the typical tourists (P1500 per cottage). The resthouse sits on top of a lovely garden hill. Thus, I call it The Garden Home of Sagada. The rest house has a spacious restaurant, in a separate building, that serves good food and sometimes hosts art exhibits and folk performances.
St. Joseph's spacious yard and garden overlooking the town proper. Theme: Pension/GuesthousePrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averagePhone: +639185595934Directions: Just above the waiting shed for bus/jeepney stop when you arrive in Sagada.
