Golden Leaf Hotel: Good Enough Transit Hotel

If you're staying only overnight in Naga City, you can consider Golden Leaf Hotel. For the price (less than P800), you can bear with the thin mattress, flat pillow and thin sheets. After all, the airconditioning unit is running fine; the private bathroom/comfort room has hot & cold shower; there is a table, chair and mirror in the bedroom; the staff are helpful and always smiling....But beyond a day, I don't think I can be comfortable and happy. For just one night, my back and tailbone already ached due to the thin mattress on the bunkbed.

Location is good, near SM and bus/van terminals.

Villa Caceres Hotel - Naga City: Great Changes at Villa Caceres Naga

Had a very recent business trip in Naga City. My wife tagged along this time, to check out Camarines Sur and Albay. Stayed again in Villa Caceres Hotel, and was happy to experience a lot of improvements:

Rooms, including facilities and amenities:
--good quality bed and pillow
--air-condition unit, just right for the size of the room
--good room lighting, but would be a plus if they can install a better / brighter lighting for their reading lamps
--no refrigerator, not a problem though (i think the other rooms has one)
--good size of TV, but a little old (an LCD would be nice)
--i think our room is well situated, we get our food and other misc items request delivered in less than 3 minutes (one time the girl was on our doorstep in less than a minute-kinda weird, but WOW!)
--with coffee set and complimentary drinking water (replenished everyday)

Restaurant / Coffee Shop:
--good complimentary breakfast (Filipino Favorites, liked the Daing na Bangus)
--flexible staff (we stayed for almost a week, requested oatmeal, and they prepared it according to my preference)
--met the Exec Chef, "Dado" is his nick name, congratulated him for a job well done. Entrees we had for lunch and dinner during our stay was great. (asked whats their secret, happy and good team he said)
--discovered a new healthy drink from the F&B Manager, "Lemon Grass tea", gave us some tips on how to drink it, best-hot, okay at room temp
--we brought back home some frozen "BICOL EXPRESS"

NEW things I discovered in this recent trip:
--they now have a SALON, GYM and quite a number of function rooms-I think more than 10, and they have a big ball room...during our stay, we encountered a wedding and business conference
--did not know that they have parking at the back
--though i knew that they have a Resto-Bar, first time for us to experience it, good live bands

Service:
--Overall, people were helpful and nice

Price:
--of Good Value

Location:
--My wife and I found it to be very good. In the main road, very near other restaurants and striking distance to our area of interest

We loved the food! Everything just complemented each aspect of our stay. Room, food, facilities and amenities, helpful and nice people, convenient location.

Villa Caceres: New Building

the old bldg and the new bldg have different rates, of course the new bldg is more expensive. the room is great for a P1,500 price its a good deal. but the aircon though its split type and brand new, cannot seem to make the room cold, the brand of the aircon is unknown (panorama) and it seemed very cheap (made in china imitation). i slept at night with no clothes even if the setting was at 18 degrees supposedly the coldest setting. the tv, though its LCD and brand new, is also an unknown brand (robersonic), sound and picture quality is very poor.

the bathroom, great shower and faucet, but they did not make a soap handle inside the shower room, so when you take a shower, still wet, you have to reach out for the shampoo and soap.

i prefer very cold room when sleeping, will not check in again here, i still prefer the old building which is P950/night carpeted and cold airconditioning.

good pricing for a great furnishing

Naga Regent Hotel: Many rooms to choose from

Naga Regent Hotel has so many types of rooms to choose from, budget room less than P900, de luxe for those who have budget P1,080 with wifi and suite rooms. Chinese restaurant at the ground floor. I stayed at de luxe room, very well maintained, good enough for one, with wifi, but no windows. Limited parking space in front of the hotel.

Billiard and bowling center at the 3rd floor.

Nagaland Hotel: Hotel in front of E Mall

FIRST CHECK IN- i was choosing a room at the 2nd floor, i opted to choose the one with window fronting the Nagaland Emall because the other room available has no windows at all. but this room with window is noisy, i woke up as early as 5am due to the sound of tricycles outside.

when you plan to check in here, get a room with window but located at the back of the building, i guess there is lesser noise at the back.

SECOND CHECK IN - i checked in again this time located at the back, no problem at all no noise, the room is comfy but a little more expensive. They recently applied price increase. Room 217, gets the wifi signal from downstairs. My second check in is way better than my first. I will come back again in room 217.

good food, right in the heart of the city. It is the only hotel in the heart of Naga that has parking space at the back.

Villa Caceres: Old But Great

Quite old but well maintained. I like the standard room, the size was perfect for a lone traveler like me, carpeted, pillow very soft, sufficient electric sockets, you may charge your cellphone and use laptop at the same time. Shower is strong. Just bring your own body soap and shampoo, theirs are not okay.

With night life, have live bands nightly downstairs.

Avenue Plaza Hotel: 4 star hotel in Naga

Stayed in avenue plaza hotel last feb 11, 2008. after a 10 hour drive from rizal province. the hotel is 4 star, the staff very friendly, the room is great, i like the feather filled pillow. room rate is P3,000 (plus vat P3,400). facilities also great.

May 29, 2008, checked in again, the cheaper rooms are full only deluxe is available which is P1,000 more expensive, i bargained if they could give me that room at standard rate. they approved. all the staffs are consistently warm. though they are very strict in no smoking policy in all parts of the hotel.

Great breakfast buffet, many food to choose and delicious.

The Avenue Plaza Hotel: Oh goody! A classy hotel with elevators! Yehey!

=)

Upon entering the place I felt the warmth of the staff. The staff greeted us with smiles on their faces and entertained our questions. I really haven't tried staying here, but I must say I like the place. I was kind of surprised that there was a classy place like this in Naga. No, I don't mean anything derogatory. It's just that I've always pictured Naga as a laid back place and when I went there for the first time, I agreed with my opinion. Yet, when I went back and saw all those cool places...I must say, I was amazed.

Naga Land Hotel: No elevators, but the stay was great

Staying here reminds me of our hotel in Ovinduli where I had to carry all the luggage of my then recovering brother (we were having a pilgrimage/thanksgiving because he survived a car accident) up to whatever floor was that. I could've paid the bellhop but he was unavailable (our groupmates were mostly senior citizens) so I was left to carry everything.

Our room at Naga Land was on the 3rd floor, but it seemed like the 6th. A lot of foreigners (mostly backpackers) were billeted there too.

The friendly and welcoming staff

Affordable accomodations:

Extra bed: 250
Double room: 850
Queen Room: 1000
