Wonderful Hotel in Bora
Absolutely recommended...Longest beach front, well kept facilities, along station 2 which is in the middle of everything, 3 freshwater pool, great staff, awesome Margarita!
Unique Quality: Definitely the pool with a bar so you don't have to get out of the pool to order and drink your margaritas :-) And you can even choose one of their premium rooms at the ground floor so that you have full access to the pool just outside your patio.

Middle of Station 1
This Beach Resort cum Hotel has 285 rooms and is the first to recieve a Triple AAA rating from the Departmen of Tourism and why? Because this is the First Big Resort Hotel in Boracay (today you have the Bigger Shangrila Hotel Being Built) and this hotel offers 5 star luxury (and off course five star prices too!) like rooms with earthy bamboo and rattan pieces with lanais (except for standard rooms) overlooking the spectacular white sand beach. The hotel also features two swimming pools, gym, business center and a host of restaurants that serve international dishes (again at five star prices too!) plus other amenities like spa's.
Unique Quality: Besides the roomy rooms and wonderful beach view (and the 4500 peso price of the room) this hotel really pack a wallop on the facilities and the spa! you should try the spa!

Boracay Regency
However, during our buffet bfast and dinner. The girls in mini dresses (their receptionists i think) were not that accommodating. When we wanted to bill out, they would just nod and we would wait for a long time then call their attention again for the bill only to find out that they just ignored our previous call for the bill out (it happened twice). Obviously, these girls are more accommodating to the foreigners and not to filipino guests. I even added this incident in the suggestion box to call the management's attention.
Also, there were also the pepsi group who occupied the nice buffet supposedly for hotel guests. We were isolated in the nearby thai vietnamese resto that caused my stomache for the rest of the evening. Also we were not allowed to sit by their beach seats because those were exclusive to pepsi group only when we are also their hotel guests. How unfair can you get?
Overall, the hotel was nice and comfy however, the discrimination in prince hendrik (only the girls, the waiters are all very accommodating) and the pepsi group. I would still stay here provided the girls are replaced (i am on a vacation and do i expect to be discriminated? hell no!!) and there are no big groups occupying.
Unique Quality: We stayed there February 29 - Mar 2. The stay was almost perfect. Upon arrival at caticlan, we were ushered to their own private "welcome" place where we took their private banca which took only about 10 minutes journey to boracay island.
Then after arriving in boracay island, we then were ushered to their L200 white van that took us to the hotel. The hotel lobby was very nice, very cozy and warm. Not to mention that it looked like a 5 star hotel. Welcome drink was very good. It was not like some mango juice from the can. It was the real thing.
Boragay Regency was truly a class AAA hotel. Buffet dinner and bfast was outstanding. We dined like princesses. They even provided beach towels (just ask the guard pool to borrow some beach towels to be used in the beach) and also towels to be used inside the room (for daily baths). We didn't not even need to use our own towels.
Room was very nice and clean (we stayed at standard room). Very accessible to the beach and everything was nice. They have a gym that we can use and the bathroom was clean. Housekeeping staff was very accommodating with our requests such as additional pillows.

Great Place to Stay for creature comforts!
I really enjoyed my stay here. Swimming pool, breakfast and dinner included, exercise facility, quick access to the white beach. This resort had all the comforts of home in a very well created package. Next trip is going to be at this exact location....hell the exact room if possible. Love it!
Unique Quality: Directly from Asian Spirit and getting out of the tiny airport in Caticlan we were met by a Boracay Regency rep who directed us to a minivan to the boat area, from there it was a 10-15 minute ride to Boracay island, from there we took an airconditioned vehicle to the resort where we had a quick check-in and then boom...we're in our room. Easy as pie!
I think the most difficult part was getting to and through the domestic airport in Manila. Otherwise everything from plane landing was quick and pain free.

nice hotel but overpriced
We arrived there with a 2pm check in and they made us wait until 3:30pm to get to our room as they were still cleaning - not what we felt like doing after a long flight. The rooms was decent, the bathrooms was quite good but the buffet breakfast was HORRIBLE - the food was very awful, bland and overcooked - if you do choose to stay here I would suggest not to get breakfast in the package but get breakfast at a nearby cafe - such as Nigi Nigi Nu Noos e Nu Noos Noos (ridiculous name but good food!)
The dinner was also very horrible- the food was like nursing home/cruise ship food. No flavour and very unoriginal selections.
The facilties were ok - but the hotel inside is very hard to navigate your way around. I felt the price was too expensive for what we got compared to other hotels. The jacuzzi was not working while we were there.
Unique Quality: Pools are ordinary, and are too cold- about 19 degrees when they should be about 27 degrees. I don't think there was much unique about this hotel. We paid 350 US per night for a basic room during peak time - over NYE 2007- which doesn't include the plus plus 22.5% extra VAT and Tax. Overall very expensive and overpriced!
The service was quite appauling - the staff were vague and unattentive, not many of them spoke much english. Can I mention again how disgusting the food was???

Stay in Boracay Regency
This hotel is quite expensive but their service is very good. Can't complain on anything here. Even their facilities, amenities and accomodations are exceptional.
Unique Quality: This hotel is at the station 2, beach front. A great view of the beach on the balcony. Just sitting there, makes you feel relaxed.

Affordable (mediocre)bungalows-pricey (nice) rooms
Perfect location: quiet, but not dead. The bungalows ($70) are ok, but very small and the bathrooms are in desperate need of a makeover (but I think they are working on that). The suites are very nice, but pretty expensive ($200). The bar on the beach is great and the breakfast is pretty good.

Regency---elegant and comfortable
This is an absolutely perfect hotel for those who wants to relax just around the hotel. The hotel is near the beach, which a dozen others are also near, but not as beautiful as this one. It is really clean. Although the price is higher, I think it's worth it. It also provides great breakfast. One thing to mention about the pool though, it's only opened after 8am, so...sorry for those who want to go for an early dip.
Unique Quality: they have a clean pool, nice beds(clean, most important~), and excellent position on the beach. You can get to the beach or the local shops within a few minutes of walk. Also close to several pubs if you are seeking for some exciting night adventures.

Wandering Minds
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. Not even to tourists who prefer to be on a low budget Boracay vacation. There are lots of other hotels to choose from, with the same rate, situated on beachside and would offer better service. This so-called hotel offered not even a passable kind of customer service to the guests. The only redeeming service we received from this place is the transporation we availed for straight from the airport to the hotel. Let's start from frontdesk, the crew is not at all friendly. Unlike the usual warm welcome we receive from the neighboring restaurants. They seem to treat the guests as nuissance to what other useless stuff they are currently doing ( always on the phone). Our room key is always stuck.. The room is REALLY small even for 2 people. It's clean but really lacks space. It was fine that the room was small as it is, the only thing that bothered us was when we left the room, there are a lot of guys hanging around the hotel. Freaky. In short.. stay away from this place.

Nightmare in Boracay
I thought the triple A rating of this hotel would assure me of a good stay but I was very wrong. There were rats running aroung in the ceiling and the security is very bad. My room safe was opened, I lost money and the management did not even apologize! Would you come back to this hotel if you were me?
Unique Quality: The location of this hotel is good.

All anyone cares about these days, the mall! Don't you have a mall back home?
Re: Boracay Courtyard
- they have courteous & friendly staff.
- their buffet breakfast was/is located at villa carmela -- about another minute or 2 walk -- but this one's beach front
- about a minute walk to the beach
- 5-10 minutes to d mall.
Re: Boracay Courtyard
abt 30 minutes walk to the mall.
been staying at Sanders White in the courtyard. hmmmmm.. its ok. try Villa Carmela, its next to it and newer (still, same walk time to the mall!). if you wanna stay IN the mall... check out The Tides... its right inside it. Very nice too.
good luck!

The Tides is in the mall, but honestly, isn't it nicer to stay near the beach? It's Boracay!
