Moreno's Place

by npamo

Has anybody stayed in Moreno's Place? I tried checking out the web but so far no luck on reviews about the place.

Moreno's Place

by boredoffboracay

its a dump...poorly managed, with a let us make money off of you as our priority before we provide a quality service..sheets are hand washed, and uncomfortable..towels are stained...its a budget hotel so all of that can be acceptable.....its behind Arwana hotel...

thank you for the quick reply. what about Orchids Resort? I've heard a lot of good reviews about it. How far is it from D Mall?

Orchids is native style and okay....better managed than Morenos. Its about 18 minute walk to the Da Mall...

Travel Tips for Boracay Island

Heidiland Deli

by CatBurglar

Not only can you buy all kinds of meats, cheeses and imported products, you can also eat a deli lunch at Heidiland (there are tables outside) or have them arrange a picnic to take to the beach or on a boat trip. A little overpriced, but lots to choose from.

Sand Art

by syllybabe

Sandcastles and other sand art are a common sight on the beach. I was seated next to this unusual lamp in the sand. My idiot camera at that time couldn't capture the green glow of the light from underneath the glass, but imagine what it would have looked like if done with slow exposure...

Your beach things

by sweet_sentiments

a durable and dependable backpack preferrably the one that you can double as a trolley so it would be easier to carry... your two-piece swimsuit(if ur a girl ofcourse), ur "malong" or "sarong", a comfy beach sandals or flip flops, board shorts paracetamol, an anti diarrhea meds camera of course, a tripod, an extra memory card (CF or memory stick depending on your camera) or rolls of film if u won't be carrying a digi cam. beach towels (or check with the hotel u'll be staying if they can provide you one), your shades, baseball cap or visor after sun lotion, sunblock, a leave on hair conditioner or hair conditioner spray (u need this so ur hair won't feel sticky once you plunged to the beach)

Dawn of night

by asianbelle

White Beach faces the West and with the wide expanse of the sea before it, one can have a front seat view of the setting sun. Watching the sun goes down at the end of the day is truly an enchanting, soothing experience. No wonder Boracay's sunset is as famous now as the Manila Bay sunset.

Thus, aside from swimming and people watching, another activity I look forward to while in the island is "sunset" watching. At around 6pm, we were already down at the beach trying to catch the sunset and capture its image through our camera. Everything happened fast and since I am a "slow photographer", I barely managed to get this sunset photo :-)

D'Mall

by gypsysoul73

At D'Mall you will find a wide variety of boutiques selling anything and everything under the sun. There are sarongs of all colors and designs, beads, beads, and more beads, accents for your home, beach wear... Sarongs, beads and native jewlery , swim suits and other beach wear, sandals, hats, arts and crafts.
