Top 5 beaches in the world.
by male_sweden
U just must visit this island Boracay if u have the opportunity. Absolutely one of the top 5 five in the world. My 1st visit here was back in 1991 n then it was a true paradise. It stills have its charm n indeed it's worth a visit again. I'll certain b back here more often. Coco Mangas, lol, still here since 1991, what a place.... yeah!
I recommend the following resturants:
Olé - Very nice spanish food, tapas, tequila n sometimes they even have Guinness Beer! Very nice staff, service minded n kind! Cute as well...........
Hobbit House - Nice genuin asian food, spicy n delicious! The most friendly staff on the island! They even had band playing soft rock in the back ground while u enjoy the food n the atmosphere.
ATM Machines
by sirenna
There are now at least two ATM machines in Boracay which accept Visa, Mastercard, Cirrus & Maestro. One is located in D'Mall, close to Jude's bar, and there is another at the Metrobank on the main road near the back entrance of the Mall.
Don't wait until your pockets are empty to withdraw cash from these machines, as they are frequently offline or empty, especially at the weekends when you need them most!
You can also use your Visa card to withdraw money from the Tourist Centre, but this is only advisable as a last resort, as they charge you 7% for the privilege!
Leave your Levi's jeans and leather shoes at home
by Ellainne
Bagpack is the best luggage you can bring to this island since you will be transferring from one island to another. Wear slippers or summer shoes, shorts ans t-shirts. Two piece is appropriate to wear here no matter what body type you have because people are used to seeing different types of people. For men trunks and shorts will befine. Bring your own google and snorkle kit with you and if you have scuba equipment its better to bring them but they have rentals too for this equipment. SUNBLOCK and sunglasses is a must. Everything is already there, just bring enough money with you. Water resistant camera and more batteries. Bring bottled water before leaving in Manila because its triple the prize there.
Tirol Museum
by joysweet
The Tirol museum is dedicated to one of the founding families in Boracay. Most of their descendants are active in the development/tourism area in the island. Seawind is owned by one of the grandchildren i think
Island Shopping
by DJ_Rolo about D'Mall Palengke
When island shopping head over to D'Mall, which is a strip of shops and restaurants. They have pretty much everything you need. You can buy all your essentials like soap and toothpaste to pasalubong shirts and trinkets here. Just remember if you are visiting the Philippines from the USA clothing sizes in the PI are about a size smaller. So if you wear a Large buy yourself a XL. Everything is pretty cheap. They have some really great gift ideas. I recommend checking out this sandal shop. There they make custom slippers, check my pic on my other shopping tip. There is also a tourist center shop around here, but everything costs just a little more there. Shop around and haggle if you must, just know you really cant go wrong.
