Hiking / Walking - Boracay by foot
Hiking or discovering Boracay by foot is a great thing to do. Best start early in the morning - bring some cold drinks and an E-Z Boracay map. You could start your tour at the Red Pirates Pub in Angol. Hike the little road up hill, cross the main road and walk down hill to the right till Tulubhan beach. Turn left and follow the small trail behind Paradise Bay Resort. After awhile you cross a little bright - the Dead Forest is at your left side. You reach the end of Bulabog Beach - walk along the shores and watch the Kitters and Windsurfers there. At the end of Bulabog beach is Bay View Hills, continue up hill and you will come to Mount Luho, one of the highest peaks on the island. Great panorama view over Boracay. Walk along the little road, keep left, pass some parts of Boracays golf course, see big trees, watch out for rare birds. Turn right on the main road - after 20 minutes find a sign board to the left: Baling Hai Resort. A great little place on top of the cliffs with superb ocean views. Some stairs bring you down to the Baling Hai beach - a perfect snorkeling area. At the end of the massive rock on the right is an underwater cave with pool inside. It´s an easy dive. Cross this rock later and you are on Punta Bunga beach. Walk up hill, turn left and follow the road till a crossing to the right - walk down the hill to Ilig Iligan beach. At the end is the Bat cave - there is an small trail which brings you to Pukka Shell beach. Back to White beach take a boat or ride a tricycle.
