Paradise Gardens Resort is one of the higher end resorts on the island, very thoughtfully designed, even palatial. The grounds are lush, with many, many kinds of exotic plants and trees, always well groomed. There is a restaurant and a full bar with all the tropical favorites. The resort has 3 swimming pools, a small rectangular one and two large ones, one of them shaped like a dolphin and the other a deep pool with a waterfall. All rooms have air conditioning, hot water, and are comfortably and tastefully furnished with cable tv, refridgerator and room safe. There is a range of rooms to choose from, with prices varying from USD $40 - $80 during the off season. The only drawback to this property is that it is not located on the beach, but is instead inland, about 5 minutes walk away from the action. But if you don't mind the walk or paying for the occasional tricycle driver, this hotel is excellent value for the top notch quality they provide... I had no security problems at all, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
