Tropical Villa

If it's exclusivity you want, you can have it at this resort since it's in the farther end of Station 1 (past Willy's Rock, Waling-Waling). Trike fare is P100 for 2 people.

Rooms and bathrooms are spacious with readily available hot water for your shower. Wicker chairs adorn the living room.

Pls. check if the A/C is working properly as we had to haul our baggage to another room just as when we were about to retire for the night.

Unique Quality: Spa (fronting the beach)
Swimming pool (at the center of the hillside villas)
Balconies in the hillside villas look out to the sea
Spacious and airy restaurant with high-ceiling
Bridgeway connects the ocean view rooms to the hillside view rooms so you need not cross the street. 3 flights of stairs leading to the hillside villas can be really tiring (cicadas and bullfrogs will greet you at night) so upgrade and go for the oceanview room or what they call the Maharlika Room.

Beach front, great location

We stayed at Pearl of the Pacific for 1 week on the last week of July 2005. Our room was on the hillside and had a great view of the ocean and the forest of the northern end of Boracay island. This resort is now under a new management and is undergoing renovations. Hopefully, the new management will bring about the badly needed improvements in terms of resort facilities and staffing as some of the rooms were weather-beaten and eroded by salt-water and sea breeze; and resort staff seem to be only a few. Despite some inconvenience, we enjoyed our stay in the resort as it has one of the best locations in Boracay -- best beach, close to the popular, big rock where we can snorkel, and walking distance to several bars and restaurants like Pier 1 and Cocomangas.

Unique Quality: Perfect location, great beach, nice cottages and beach beds. Big lobby for hanging around and most importantly (for some like us during that time,) a wi-fi internet connection. The resort has a spa.

One of Boracay's Best

I always love staying here as this place is on the quieter side of the island. The owner, Rita Sanson is a very good friend of mine and she always gives me a beachfront suite. They take care of you very well at Pearl, from the time you get off the plane until you get back to it at the end of your vacation.

The Pearl

Hotel type resort in my favorite area of Boracay. Rooms can get a bit pricey...about $80 off peak or $120 during peak months. The view and the quiet in this part of the beach may make it worth the price for some.
