Waling Waling

Would love to stay at Waling Waling, if only for their beach beds, swing AND the CABANAs. :)

Best Beach-Front Cabanas

Hotel is located at Station 1 and fronting White Beach. Our room, with a small balcony facing the sea, is clean and there are always fresh towels each day. Service is prompt and staff are attentive and helpful. The dining room is an open space and is right in front of the beach. The most wonderful thing about this hotel are the cabanas with hammocks that are right on the beach--no need for beach chairs. You can eat lunch or dinner in the cabanas or have a refreshing massage!! Marvelous stay!

Cabanas and Hammocks

Waling-waling is an orchid found in the Philippines and is the name of the hotel in Boracay. I didn't stay in this hotel but found the hammocks in their cabanas by the beach very inviting! Let me add that they have an open-air bar/restaurant with torches lighting it up on a starry night, perfect for group of friends dancing the night away!

Waling-Waling Beach Resort in Boracay Island

Waling-waling amenities are really great, staff are so alert and really friendly. It is a beach front hotel and a quiet place that you would really enjoy and relax. The foods are great, too. They have romantic set up during weekends with live music near the sea shore and foods are all fantastic that you would tempt to eat more.

Unique Quality: This is a beach front and far from noise.

Can You Relax or Party at Station 1?

by david_e_carMAN about Station 1 General Advice

Looks like you already have come and gone to Boracay, however, this might help some others travel here. For June & July it is the low or lean season in Boracay and you can get a beach front from for 2,000 to 3,000 pesos. Mito's place is nice, they have a room with a 32' LCD, Air Conditioning, Hot Water, and a large bathroom for 2,500 pesos and it's on the beach. There are a lot of hotels to choose from on station 1 ranging from 2,000 pesos up (to 15,000!).

Station 1 is pretty big and it ranges from the somewhat secluded places like Fridays and Waling Waling (due to thier prices well above 2,000 pesos!) to the hotel above. The high priced places are typically further away from shopping, restaurants and bars. Check a the hotel website to see the location, D-mall is a a good entertainment center with a lot to choose from. Station 1 starts just after D-mall, however it goes on for a few Kilometer (3km I think). If you want more action stay closer to D-mall, so you don't have a 15-20 minute hike to hang out at a bar besides the one at the hotel. If seclusion is what your looking for, the hgh priced places are your better option.

Frendz looked like more of a hostel to me, than a hotel. If I wanted to get the whole room with 5 beds it would be 2,000 (400 pesos per bed), as they sell bedspace and not rooms. But, I didn't need five beds and would rather be on the beach with one queen size bed. I don't know about Boracay Plaza as I haven't seen it and don't know where it is.

Hope you had a great time in Boracay, it's a buetiful and fun place!

Waling Waling Cabanas. :-)

by earthboundfaerie

Oh and btw, last time I checked, anyone can stay at the lovely cabanas in front of Waling Waling and I absoultely loved those and was wondering if you can still do that? Or atleast have a meal there and how a cabana can be reserved? :)

My guess would be that you should contact Waling Waling and ask them.

Last time I was there, it seemed to OK to use the cabanas if you were eating/drinking. This may not be the case now though, so it's best to check.
