Padisamorong: Place to stay in Bataan

by kutitap

Hi, I recently went to Morong, Bataan to have a vacation with my family. We stayed in this private beach house I found online. The website, which is http://www.padisamorong.com shows very nice photos. At first I thought is was too good to be true but we booked there just the same. When we got there, it was indeed as beautiful as how the pictures in the website looked. In fact, maybe better. I saw in Padisamorong one of the most breath-taking sunsets.

Also, I must say that the Php 15,000.00 I paid is worth every peso. I'm looking forward to going back next month.

Montemar Beach: Resort for the family

by asianbelle

Montemar is one of the first exclusive resorts in the area. It opened in 1979 to club members and 7 years later, it started accepting non-member guests. It has been rated triple A by the Department of Tourism.

It boasts of several Mediterranean-inspired buildings with more than 80 rooms discreetly scattered within the 12 hectare resort. A blue pool, aptly called due to its dark blue color, is located at the center flanked by the restaurant and guests rooms. Also within the resort compound is a driving range (golf), a conference room, and tennis courts.

Montemar opens to the South China Sea and on a clear day, Corregidor Island can be seen from the beach of fine gray sand. Upon request, tents and lounge chairs can be set up along the beach. The resort also offers amenities for team building like obstacle course, tug-o-war, and beach volleyball for a fee. Jet ski, banana boat, and outrigger boats can likewise be rented.

Montemar is really a family-oriented resort. There is no night life to speak off. They are strict with their policy of "no swimming beyond 6pm", both in the pool and the sea. Even their guest band played only from 9pm to 11pm at the beach area.

The one thing that impressed me is their 24-hour clinic (which not all resorts nor hotels have). One of my co-workers suffered an allergic reaction to a soda drink at 2am, and we were given an anti-histamine which, surprisingly is available at their clinic.

Montemar Beach Resort: Montemar Beach Resort, Bagac, Bataan

by santeria01

Montemar Beach Resort is one of those Class A Beach Resorts in Bagac, Bataan. Accommodation is good, we were given a room for 4 pax though we were 5 people in one room. The accommodation package has free breakfast. Food is quite pricey though.

Montemar Beach Club: Class A Resort

by JaneCajuguiran

You would be glad to stay at this resort. The staff are hospitable and their rate is cheap for this kind of accommodation. The place looks very serene and well maintained. It's a little old but this becomes one of their attraction too because they have clearly taken efforts to preserve the beauty of the place.

Beautiful with a great staff. Although not white, Montemars' beach has fine sand which does not hurt your feet when you walk. They have two pools - the blue pool which is bigger and more beautiful and the "other pool" which name I have forgotten. They have a large raft with a canopy which can accommodate about 10 people. The huts along the shore have chairs that double as beds.

They have taken a stand to contribute to nature conservation.

Montemar Beach Club: Nice, clean beach, but very basic accommodation

by KookieDough

Montemar has seen its glory days. It was a choice beach club a few years back. It is just such a pity that it has not been kept well and was not updated according to the current standards of resorts in other locations in the country. The beds were definitely not the softest and the bathroom was small. Generally, everything in the rooms needs refurbishing.

However, you would still choose Montemar to go to in Bagac, Bataan, because of its good service and the nice beach. It employs friendly and attentive crew and alert lifeguards on the beach and in the pool area. Although, the beach is not as lovely as before, it is clean and it doesn't have any of those rocks that torture your feet when you go into the water.

Another feature of Montemar is the Pawikan Conservation area where it takes care of the pawikan or Philippine sea turtles. A must-visit for those who care about animals, ecology and other such interests.

Raven Resort: Spending the night in Abucay, Bataan

by lakwatsera001

We stayed overnight at Raven's resort in one of their usual guest rooms. Each air-conditioned room has its own toilet and bathroom with the minimum toiletries such as shampoo, tissue, soap and towels. There are 2 queen size beds, closet space, and a television in each room. Additional mattresses may be ordered for a fee. This standard room can accomodate from 2-4 persons and up to 6 persons if an additional mattress is ordered. Bigger family villas are also available and these can house from 10-20 persons.

The resort has 3 swimming pools with slides and fountains. It also has a mini zoo. There is a basketball court and a tennis court as well as billiard tables. The function areas can provide space for wedding receptions or parties for 50-300 people. There are several huts with karaoke machines that you can operate using local currency at Php5 coin per song. Food may be brought into the resort. A small convenience store sells dry goods, souvenir food items and local drinks and beer. You may order grilled food or cook them yourself. The resort is also near another local resort where you may bathe in mineral water from the mountain spring - Sibul springs- but Raven's offer better accomodations. People have the option to stay overnight at the resort or go for day/night swim. Cavanas or huts can be rented for day swims.

places you can stay.......

Bataan is dotted with both mountains and beach resorts, but there are only a few formal hotels. The Ellison Hotel in Balanga offers accommodation at budget prices. If you like comfortable and luxurious hotel they have new one, Crown Royal Hotel located in Capitol Drive, Balanga. It is the newest in town and surely its affordable prices.

Montemar Beach Club is the most luxurious of the beach resorts, while there are clusters of resorts south of Morong (Waterfront, East West, Fine Sand, Gold Coast, Little Miami) and Bagac.

On the East Coast, resorts are concentrated beside Roman Superhighway. These establishments are family oriented and often feature swimming pool complexes. They include Farmlandia, Big Splash, Doña Joshua, Villa Amanda, Raven, La Conchita, Nestville, Bay Spring, Villa Imperial, Villa Carmen, Allegros, La Vista and Labiña Resort.

Major mountain resorts are Magic Mountain and Crystal Spring beside the Bagac- Morong Road, Paran, in the northern interior, and Mt. Samat Inn, situated near famous shrine.

Legenda Hotel: Subic's Legend

by syllybabe

Right across the seawall which gives rooms in front a view of the harbor. The hotel has a casino which is a major draw for Taiwanese tourists. Double rooms normally go for $110US but we got 50% off.
