Kawayan Cove: A cozy place called Kawayan cove

I honestly love the place. It's so serene because there aren't too many people around. The architecture is world class but uses a combination of filipino indigenous materials and foreign obviously expensive materials. The place is a residential resort with homes atop the hill and the beach below it. The view is scenic. The water is pristine and the sky is really blue. It's so exclusive.

There's only one problem though. You've got to be a member or a friend of a member to get in. They're still selling lots there if you're interested. Visit the website.

an eternity pool just beside the beach, a small beachfront lined with cabanas, white sand, staff wearing traditional filipino clothes, beach volleyball. Safe and secure.

Punta Baluarte: The Best Maruya I've tasted

Punta Baluarte is a charming place. but what strikes me most is the food (I'm a food lover you see). they've got the best maruya in town. Yes, maruya. For those who don't know what maruya is, it is a snack where a particular banana variety (we call it saba) is sliced into a fan, dipped in batter made from flour and eggs and deep fried to a golden brown. Punta Baluarte has added some cream to it and has come up with a flavorful and creamy version. Well, aside from this dish, the other dishes in their buffet are heavenly.

It has both a fresh water pool and a salt water pool. There are huts along the beach line while other rooms are located on top of a hill. The terrain is rugged. hikers would have a good warm up taking a walk.
