Casa Punzalan: Old House

Located around 100 meters away from the St. Martin de Tours Basilica, Casa Punzalan's proximity to the places to visit makes it easier to go around. If your'e a tourist on a budget, the place is good enough. Just don't expect 5-star accommodation. There is a common bath/toilet for men and women (separate). There are 3 shower cubicles and 3 toilets for each. The toilet area is not comfortable because it'small. There's one TV with cable in the lobby area but no Wifi. There is only one aircon room which is priced at P1,500.00 with 1 queen size bed and 1 single bed. Other rooms have fans, thus, priced cheaper.
I would suggest, though, that you visit the place first before checking in. Some might not be that comfortable staying in an old house.

All of the places to visit in Taal, Batangas are just a blocks away from Casa Punzalan. Even the Basilica can be viewed from the hotel's window.

Taal Island: No Accommodation

There is no accommodation to be had on the island. I asked the boatman if the locals accept guests for homestay, he just laughed and said no.

Villa Manolo: Nice guesthouse on Taal Lake

This is actually a resort with own small beach access, picnic huts, boat service, mini convenience store, and a bunch of dogs. The care taker here is very nice and helpful.
This place is very relaxing at night too especially with full moon. The silhouette image of Taal Volcano by the lake is spectacular.
