on February 23, 2008Although we stayed in Alona Palm Beach Resort, we had a chance to visit Ananyana for dinner. The reception area was not very impressive but the lounge area and dining area were very nice. All the furniture is by Kenneth Cobunpue - a local designer who has been getting a lot of buzz internationally as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought his baby crib for their daughter Shiloh. The menu choice, is a little more limited and slightly more expensive than Alona Palm, but quite good. The pool was quite small - almost like a lapping pool but this can be compensated with the large and much nicer beach area. Rooms are smaller but stylish and Ananyana has its own spa. There aren't a lot of rooms so there's a personal touch to this resort. We would recommend this resort as an alternative to those who are more discriminating with their rooms.
