Bohol is a relaxation paradise... it's your first resort in looking for beach resorts to get away from the big city life without risking being cut off from everyone else. why? coz metro cebu is just a 1.5hrs' fastcraft ride away, and manila is just a 1-hr plane flight away. Panglao Island's nightlife at the beach would be boring for those seeking an "a la Boracay" experience. It IS, really a person's shangri la to rest and be with your family or your "partner". also, it's less expensive than Palawan without losing touch to the beauty of nature around you. I'll give directions here:
Panglao Island has 2 municipalities: Dauis town and Panglao town. High-end resorts, like The Ananyana and Panglao Island Nature Resort, are on the western part of the island. Mid-range to high-end resorts can be found at the eastern part of Dauis and Panglao towns. Notable are Bohol Beach Club, Flushing Meadows Resort & Playground and Amarela. There are also resorts found at Alona Beach in the town of Panglao. Alona Beach is located at the southeastern part of Panglao Island. It is home to resorts like Alona Palm Beach, Lost Horizon, Bohol Divers' Resort, etc anything comfy.. undies or nothing at the beach perhaps? hehe
