Dive Thru Resort: Paradise Resort
I truly enjoyed my short stay at this resort. Its overall structural perspective is an eye candy.
Perfect location with modern fixtures and amenities.

Dumaluan Beach Resort, Bohol, Philippines
Hotel is located on the Panglao Beach, which u can reach by cab ride from Tagbilaran City in about 30 mins, too far for a trycycle, so u better take a cab from the city, which about after bargain cost u 500p ...
The resort has several kinds of room types, depending on ur budget, but for sure call upfront and make a reservation as the place is mostly full and in case u go just as walk in, u gonna be paying the highest room rate ... I did stay in the exec rooms at the beach front, upstairs, w a view direct to the beach, rooms are clean and big, very standart and basic furnished, no phone at all, so in case u wanna ask something or order, just go out and walk to the reception / restaurant forurself ... Basic rooms dont have hot water, so beware to reserve exec rooms for hot water provided in rooms, unless u r used to shower w cold water ... :)
Has a long and perfect beach, there is a flood tide every day, as u can walk on the large beach and walk into the sea area and just after several hours, those areas are filled w sea water again as nature ....
Restaurant is half-covered, also many wood tables on the beach where u can dine and have ur breakfast ... Breakfast buffet is delicious but some poor sorted, anyway well enough to get full ...
Glass bottom boats, daily island hopping boats, jetski etc kinds of water sports are available for decent fee ...
I suggest u to take a cab and go to Alona Beach (ca.15 min ride) in the afternoon to see the sun going down as sipping some fresh juices ...
The only con of the resort is the staff, as they are used to be mostly full occupancy, they dont care the guests too much, kindda rude, as knowing if not u, there will be anyway another guest to replace u to reach full occupancy ....
Very recommendable resort, for sun, sea and relax ...

Dumaluan Beach Resort: Bohol's Worst
Dumaluan Beach Resort so far is the worst resort I've been to, not only in Bohol but in my whole 23 years of existence in the world. The resort has cheap rates given that it's a beach front resort, but this does not give reason to the poor service that the resort offers. The staff in Dumaluan doesn't know what courtesy means. Let me start with the extra mattress we requested - not only did it take more than an hour for it to be delivered, but the staff also left the extra mattress in another room's porch - hence, we carried the mattress ourselves. The bathroom's drainage is clogged, they don't provide extra mats, and another thing, it is my first time have been in a resort that does not provide service water. The only good experience I've had in this resort was when we were about to leave, one staff offered to carry my bag, other than that there is NONE. Even if their rates are comparatively cheap, I would be willing to spend more, or even double rather than come back in Dumaluan Beach Resort.

Hats Inn: Budget Accommodation
Got an air conditioned room for my parents while my sister, his son and I had a fan accommodation. We were all contented with our rooms since we were almost out the whole day touring Bohol...
Located within the City proper. McDo fastfood is just across the street...

Ancestral Houses: Homestay
If you are looking for an old-worlds experience, there are several ancestral houses that have opened their doors as bed and breakfast homestays where the most you will pay 1200 pesos pero room. But be sure you are not spooked by antiquities. These ancestral houses are typical bahay-na-bato houses with the lower floors built from stone and wood on the upper levels with capiz windows.

They will arrange a private beach picnic for you at the Virgin Islands. It's pampering at its best.

The Peacock Garden Luxury Resort & Spa: Luxurious Vacation Setting In A Quaint Town
If you'd like an alternative to hotels in Tagbilaran City or Panglao Island, try Peacock Garden Luxury Resort & Spa, a pleasant surprise in the quiet, quaint town of Baclayon. My friend went there for a day tour, and from the Peacock Garden Luxury Resort & Spa (PGLRS), she saw the breathtaking view of the sea facing Pamilacan Island. She was also able to experience luxurious dining there.

grand luis lodge: Best lodge/B&B in this part of the country
Initially, we did not expect much, but when we have arrived using the free Tagbilaran airport pickup
we were pleasantly surprised at the setup of the quaint, smartly landscaped and decorated charming 8 rooms lodge,
spacious clean rooms, with all amenities provided, beautiful hilly forested vista, and quiet peaceful stay, staff are friendly, free tasty breakfast, and free wifi in lobby area,
the lodge is only 15 minutes from the airport and best of all is the price, currently PHP 1,500.
We do, wholeheartedly recommend this place to any peace and quite lovers,
Great small pool with a jacuzzi, spa facilities

Bohol Diver's Resort: Attention all divers
We stayed here for 4 nights. It was a nice place. Attention to all, if you check the site, it appears all of the rooms are so expensive. There are more rooms that are not listed. We paid 1600 pesos a night for our rooms with air-conditioning.
The only real drawback is that the beach directly in front of this hotel disappears at high tide.
The rooms were reasonable, and service was good.
It is right on the quiet end of the beach, and they have a live band there every Saturday night. The band is worth checking out.

Amarela Resort: Find Peace
This place is superb!!!
I'm so used to staying in cheap places especially during domestic travels since i'd rather splurge on food and outdoor activities than accomodations. This time around, I decided to try this high-end resort and see if the articles i've read are true.
Amarela Resort has its own library (where you can borrow books/dvds then watch it in your own rooms), dining area that makes you feel on top of the world, swimming pool, pingpong table, snorkeling gears and kayaks and a souvenir shop. In short, everything that spells F-U-N!!
This place is perfect for families who just wanna retire from city life even for just a week. The food they serve are really good too!! It's simply food with a twist.
The only so-so part i could think of is their beach, since there are rocky parts (kinda hard to swim in some areas).

Dumaluan Beach Resort: Dumaluan Beach Resort
The place was cheap compared to Bohol Beach Club and the like. Ours was just a regular room with 2 beds, 1 bathroom and cable TV. We didn't really stay in our room so it didn't really matter how it looked like.
The beach was great though!! It was a long stretch of white sand (without rocks, pebbles, etc). It was very swimmable-- compared to the beach in Amarela which had rocky areas)

Bohol Plaza Resort: Great view
It is a long way from the capital, but once there, you will be proud you chose this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful, nice air con rooms, giant pool, and a great view of the city. They also offer tours of the island for a reasonable fee.I do recommend this resort to anyone staying in Bohol.
Rooms were inexpensive with mini fridge, cable Tv,and air con. From the lobby itself, you can get a fantastic view of the city and the sea.The poool was very nice indeed with two spas to relax in after a long day of touring the island.

Cheap Accomodation in Bohol
We stay in Travellodge Backpackers Inn in Tagbilaran City, they have clean & nice room for only P300 for single, 600 for double occupancy, aircondition room with private toilet and tv. If you want an extra bed you only have to pay P50 & P100 for extra person. You can ride a tricycle to bus terminal near ICMall where you can buy also cheapest peanut kisses & souvenir shirts (cheaper than those in tourist spots) and ask for bus schedule going to Panglao beach ( I think bus fare is P75 or cheaper, we did not try this but i think its a good option)

dumaluan beach resort: tourist trap
on the good side, the rooms were clean and the food as ok.on the not so good side boy do i have lots to complain: check in time is 12noon, but our rooms were not ready till 4pm and we arrived at the resort at 7am, just imagine we waited that longggg! coming from the airport we passed by jolibee to buy food when we arrived at the resort we were being charged corkage fee of P100@ because we brought in food, that's too much! and boy they charged P50@ for a small mineral bottled water and we couldnt bring in our own bottled water. the food was expensive too --- truly a trap!! they advertised low package rates so the unsuspecting tourist would be lured in...did we regret it bigtime when we got there.so i do not recommend to you this resort...go somewhere else, its a TRAP!!!! It's also a resort that is NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY---it was truly difficult for older citizens in wheelchairs to go from one place to the other in this resort- no paved paths for wheelchairs.
pool conveniently located outside our room---that's one good point
