we stayed at Slim Pension House which is near the market and mall in Tagbilaran. It is also walking distance to the Cathedral and park.
The room is clean and the area is quiet considering it is near the public market. Theme: Pension/GuesthousePrice: less than US$20 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: 35 F.R. Ingles St., Tagbilaran City, BoholPhone: 411-4858

There are several places in Bohol where you can stay. To avoid redundancy, I decided not to post here the hotels/accommodation I covered during my stay in Bohol. If you are looking for place to stay in Tagbilaran City, please refer to my City of Tagbilaran travel page. My write-ups about places to stay in Panglao Island are in my Panglao travel page. Hope you will understand. Theme: Other

A very pleasant and well-maintained facility. Amenities include hot water, cable TV, air-con and in-room free wi-fi all for 900 pesos. They nicely provide free pickup and delivery to the Taglibaran ferry. The staff was easy to deal with and generally knowledgeable. My only complaint was they steered me to the touristy roadside tarsier viewing locations instead of the sanctuary. That mistake ended up costing me many precious hours. In discussing it with the manager, we concluded that she and her staff would be a little more clear to the tourists about what they were recommending.

Bohol’s two main tourist enclaves are Taglibaran town and Alona Beach on nearby Panglao Island. On the map, these are close by one another. In practice, the logistics of ground travel are slow and/or relatively expensive. I followed the Lonely Planet guide’s advice to base myself because I was interested in both diving and visiting the interior. In some ways, this was the worst of both worlds. Although my accommodation was fine (see Vest Pension tip), it was remote enough to always require transportation. Jeepney to Alona Beach: 20 pesos and 90 minutes. Motorcycle return: 150 pesos and 30 minutes. Trike: 200 pesos and 30 minutes. Forget taxis. They automatically double the already high rates to about 500 pesos with the excuse that there are no passengers on the other end. If I had it to do over, I would probably base myself in Alona Beach. The pleasant white sand/ blue water setting is a bit remote, but it’s easier to find restaurants, etc. It will make a longer and more expensive trip to the interior, but how often will you do that? Plus, the overall time is more relaxing. Theme: Pension/GuesthousePrice: less than US$20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about average

In our quest to explore more of the alona area, we came across alona land. Its a new resort that would surely be a hit for budget conscious travelers. Their introductory price is very competitive for the amenties that they offer. The room that we inquired cost 1.4k Php. A small cost for the amenities such as aircon, 2 double beds, a mini ref, a kitchen with stove and kitchen utensils, and a cute bathroom equipped with a H - e - a - t - e - r!!! This rate is good for 4 persons. Additional persons will be charged 200/head.
Lots of good qualitites here. Like the ones that I mentioned above. You have to go there to believe me. I particularly like the mini kitchen. Its not inside the room so you dont have to worry about making the room smell with food. bohol divers bar by cHeLLe28 We had a great time here at Bohol Divers. We occupied two room. One is the beach front non AC room. Very near the beach and very conducive for people who want to see the sea when then open their door. Another room that we occupied is the Garden View AC room - this room is huge!! Can accomodate 5 persons comfotably. Although I think the only allowed # of guest / room is 2 pax. You just have to pay the additional amount for the extra persons. The rest rooms are clean and very spacious. Good room service as well. Prices are : Beachfront NON AC - 1k/night GardenView w/ AC - 1.6k/night
I love the the swimming pool - It has a nice view of the beach and very clean too! I also love the bar - It has a bar located a few steps from the pool. You can have drinks there at night and it also comes with mini table and chairs set-up in the sand so that guest can just sit there and relax. Chairs / Sunbeds - You can see lots of this in the area. Great for relaxation. Its so nice to just walk around the Bohol Divers at night..... since this is a big resort, there is ample area to explore without leaving the comfort of the vicinity of your resort I also like the volleyball net in front of the resto. Another option for family activities. It was awesome given the atmosphere of living in a beachfront. Security and safety is excellent as this is a private beach. The rooms are clean and comfy with aircon and needed furniture and stuff during your stay. Food is excellent and staff very helpful and has a hospitable culture. Aside from the Beach you also have facilities like 3 pools, entertainment room, garden walks, restaurants and a lot more!
Beachfront, what more can you ask for! Imagine having dinner in the beach underneath the moon and stars at night. Excellent@ Their LANDSCAPING is so BEAUTIFUL! Room 1/Standard Bungalow by mimay It was indeed a wonderful stay at Isis Bungalows! We reserved 1 room (P1700 ) and 1 standard bungalow (P2500, they gave us P300 discount per room) inclusive of breakfast. The room is almost as big as the bungalow the difference between the 2 is the view and tv, the standard bungalow has a better view of the sea than the room and has a tv but you can rent it for only P100 per night if you want a tv in your room. In terms of bathrooms, all the rooms have spacious and very clean bathrooms; you can even sleep inside, very pleasing! They gave us Room 1, which is a standard bungalow and has the best view among the bungalows at the ground since it is the first room facing the sea but we had problems with the aircon, and because of that they transferred us to Room5 which is a family room bungalow, its hard to give up room1 but its not cooling but they told us they’re going to change the aircon. Because of the inconvenience they transferred us to a bigger bungalow and we’re allowed to use the fridge which is not suppose to be included because we only paid for a standard bungalow, this shows that they know how to handle situations like what happened to us and they know how to satisfy the clients even after the inconvenience. Isis is located in a quiet place, you can only hear the sound of the waves at night, very relaxing……
-Restaurant: Isis' Bungalows does feature a restaurant serving quality foods at a very affordable price with a panoramic view of Alona Beach. - free wireless internet - customers have access to a safe deposit. - Refrigerator in some bungalows - a laundry service is available for a small fee. Crystal Coast - northern most of Alona Beach by moonlighting Has the best view of Alona Beach

Having a group of 6, the family rooms (there are 3) at Isis Bungalows are spacious enough for us. The family rooms are at the 2nd floor level giving a commanding panoramic view of the sea at the center of Alona Beach. We were able to have the prime room fronting the beach having a wider view of the beach as compared to the inner 2 family rooms. For twin sharing accomodations, the 4 smaller rooms at the ground floor with guaranteed beach view are of the same set-up. The airconditioned family room costs P4800 per night inclusive of breakfasts.
The place is newly built which explains the satisfaction we had of the cleanliness of the rooms (specially the very spacious T&B) and the furnishings, linens included. The rooms have wide glass windows and sliding doors that when the curtains are curled at the side, it feels like there are no more walls and the beach is all that is there. How I wish I could laze it out the whole day with such a setting. Before I forget, the place is WI-FI ready and offered free for guests. Rooms are provided with cable tv enough to tame the kids during rest time.
