Panglao Island's Greatest Gem

One of the nicest "hotels" we've ever been. Actually you don't get a room, you get your own "villa" with a veranda that offers a magnificent view of the sea and surroundings. The whole area is carefully maintained with beautiful landscape, clean pool area and secure surroundings. You come to your villa with a fruit basket and cool local drinks and the air-conditioner turned on at the right temperature. The bathroom boast two sinks, several white fluffy towels and shower with native accessories. There is also a mini-fridge although the TV could be a wee bit bigger but who has time to watch? Restaurant serves both native and international cuisine. With all these positives, I hesitatingly recommend this hotel. Why? Because my husband accidentally left his wedding ring on the night stand the morning we were to go whale watching (5 am) and after we got back in the afternoon and after the room was cleaned, the ring was gone. Ring was not that expensive but the sentimental value cannot be replaced. Is it our fault?-probably because we were careless and did not put a valuable in the safe and it must have been tempting but still.... Anyway we did have a good stay and this incident was maybe an exception instead of a rule. But please, KEEP valuables in the room safe.

Unique Quality: Beautiful surroundings, outstanding villa and good location.

EASTERN SIDE OF ALONA BEACH I

by nodarcdam about ALONA TROPICAL RESORT

Staying at the Alona Tropical Resort is always a pleasant experience. It has a a quiet surrounding. It shares the beach front with Alona Palm Beach Resort, thus the beach is ideal for swimming and other family activities. Most of rooms are made from bamboo and nipa hut with single beds, chairs and tables, ample closet and big bathroom.

It has a swimming pool which is located near the executive rooms of the resort.

There are two access points to this resort, one is the Ester Lim Street entrance which closes at 11 pm and the beach front.

The room rates per day:

P800 - 1,100 for room with fan
1,800 -2,100 for aircon room
2,500 - 3,600 for family room It has good beach and the sand is regularly combed. It adjoins the Alona Palm Beach Hotel and Crystal Coast and it has access to the higher place where one can view the whole stretch of Alona Beach

Gorgeous beach

by livethedream about Bohol Beach Club

Bohol Beach Club has a powdery white sand beach. The rooms to the left of the resort (if you're facing the beach) looked a bit gloomy and smelling dank. The rooms to the right are better and brighter and they face the beautiful garden and swimming pool.

Bohol Beach Club in Panglao island

by thomyorke about Twin Occupancy - Standard Room

We stayedin Bohol Beach Club when we were in Panglao Island. BBC is considred as four star resort with rates ranging from 55 to 240 dollars. The staff are really friendly and very attentive to needs. Our room is just few meters away from the beach but more expensive rooms are nearer. The resort offers its guests free use of the hammocks, huts, cushions, beach towel, swimming pool, and jacuzzi.

BEst of Bohol

by JaneCajuguiran about Bohol Beach Club

A paradise right in Panglao Island. It's a perfect getaway for those romantic nights with your special someone. I know... I had my honeymoon there.

Quiet, serene, calm, peaceful are all words to describe Bohol Beach Club. The staff are hospitable and friendly, yielding to your requests to the best that they can. Food is ok and the beachfront is huge. This is a place you shouldn't miss.

The pictures I have here are from the website. spectacular view of the horizon and has ample space for frolicking.

Value For Money Resort

by cyndymc about Dumaluan Beach Resort 2

Our family stayed at Dumaluan Beach Resot 2, not to be mistaken for the public resort, Dumaluan Beach Resort 1. It has the same white, powdery sand and azure waters of Bohol Beach Club which is only a few steps away. By staying at DBR 2, we spent less money for the same beautiful beach of Bohol Beach Club.

See related post and more pictures at my Panglao Page. DBR 2 has a great beach, clean swimming pool, mini-zoo and cozy family room

Bohol Beach Club

by beachaholic101 about relaxingly lazy

For people who love silence and privacy, i recommend Bohol Beach Club. I suggest you go there on lean season to make your stay as relaxing as you want it to..Bohol Beach Club is a very cozy resort and it's the best in Panglao..rates are from $60-300$, 1 whole day in Panglao is enough to unwind and relieve stress just make sure ur with a lover or great sets of friends so as not to make your stay boring... there's no nightlife, it's just gonna be you and your companions at your resort (on lean season). the resort has about 200 rooms and might still be expanding, getting a standard room is enough as it is still oceanview..Having iced cold beer watching the sunset in panglao is just breathtaking! Panglao Island is only 15-25 minutes away from Tagbilaran City, Bohol...very accessible to travellers coming from Cebu. - very wide , big and spacious resort
- atmosphere is very nice: it sets amood where the resort is the only place to stay at in the island
-Divided into two parts: 2 reception desks: for less expensive and the more expensive accoms
-Food is fairly priced
-they have more than two pools
-"hammocks" & cabanas in front of the beach
-they offer watersports and dolphin watching

simply the best

by doomzday about bohol beach club

my wife and i stayed at panglao so we had to rent a motorcycle to go to this famous resort. it's on a different beach which is called dumaluan beach. you need to pay an entrance fee of 250pesos per person. 150 pesos is consumable for food and drinks. bbc's shorline is better than alona. i think it's better than boracay's boat station one shoreline. we saw several tourists majority of them are asians (koreans and taiwanese). after swimming on the beach, we decided to enjoy the pool. their pool is huge comparing to other resorts. you can request for a towel, free of charge. their staff are friendly and well trained. we enjoyed our short stay at bbc especially our dinner :) great beach front. class A service.

Panglao Island

by thonyang0217 about Dumaluan Beach Resort

Its about 4pm when we arrived at Dumaluan Beach Resort. The clean room is big enough for two, the room rest also was big. The aircon is not that freezing cold but you can sleep better cause its very quite in dumaluan. You can relax here in dumaluan beach resort, there is no night life here, just the pool where you can swim at nite. Dinner time, we went to the nearby restaurant offering fresh seafoods and its much cheaper than dumaluan beach resort. Dumaluan beach resort is beside Bohol Beach club and the public beach. No problem dining cause they have a restaurant offering variety of foods located beachfront. Dumaluan Beach Resort has a swimming pool where u can enjoy the night.

TROPICAL LIVING

by littlegirl0130 about Bohol Beach Club (BBC)

It was awesome given the atmosphere of living in a beachfront. Security and safety is excellent as this is a private beach. The rooms are clean and comfy with aircon and needed furniture and stuff during your stay. Food is excellent and staff very helpful and has a hospitable culture. Aside from the Beach you also have facilities like 3 pools, entertainment room, garden walks, restaurants and a lot more! Beachfront, what more can you ask for! Imagine having dinner in the beach underneath the moon and stars at night. Excellent@ Their LANDSCAPING is so BEAUTIFUL!

Panglao Island Nature Resort or Alona Palm Beach Resort?????

by mariepaz

Hi!

I will be visiting Bohol in July for 3D/2N with my husband and kids (11 and 13 years old). I am still having doubts as to where we will be staying. I like somewhere peaceful and quiet....privacy on the beach is very important. I saw the website of PINR and it looks nice but I don't know if it has a private beach ( I read one bad comment on Tripadvisor regarding its old rooms, is that true?). Alona Palm on the other hand has nice and new villas but the beach is not private (that I read in Tripadvisor). Please, I need an advice. I haven't been back home (Philippines) for 7 years and I want this vacation to be nice and memorable especially to my kids.

Thanks.
