Jasmin by the Sea: Good place to stay

We stayed four nights and three days at Jasmin by the Sea. The accommodation was good, the food was great and the staffs were friendly and helpful.

They have motorbike for rent if you will decide to venture the island all by yourself.

The food is great. It's worth the price.

Paras Lodge Hotel: The island's primier lodging

Camiguin has only a handful of good western-style comfortable places to stay. Paras Hotel is one of them which I found to be safe convenient and great value. Not only does the hotel have individual rooms each with bath inclusive but also suites to rent for a more private and secluded ambiance. I was satisfied with the overall hotel service especially with the courteous staff and ready help to my travel queries.

The Paras Hotel has a most ideal location in Camiguin. It is situated right along the beach where individual catamarans can be rented to ferry the visitor to White Island, the beautiful sandbar of pure white sand in the middle of the sea which is not to be missed by the visitor, just across ten minute-ride away from the hotel. The hotel has only a splash-pool but is equipped with deep-sea diving facilities. The hotel also has a good restaurant. Make sure to request a room with ocean view where you can stare at White Island in the short distance looking as tho a white apparition draped in moonlight.

Camiguin Beach Club: Cheap lodgings

I have been going to Camiguin Beach Club since the early 90's. It USED to be one of the nicest, little resorts that you could go to on the island. There are six rooms fronting a nice pool with White Island as a backdrop. All rooms have AC and cable television. Food is decent and we used to go to the market ourselves and get fresh seafood for the staff to cook for us. Breakfast is probably the best meal you can get at the resort. Decent snorkling in front of resort. The Beach club has fallen in disrepair over the years and I heard that it changed owners last year. Swimming pool appears to be dirty when in fact, the blue paint at the bottom of the pool is coming off. Hopefully, they have cleaned the place up to it's former glory days.

If you want a private, romantic place to take your family, the Camiguin Beach club is the place to go. Most of the time, there is no one else at the resort and you have the swimming pool all to yourself.
