Corregidor Inn: Inn with History

The Corregidor Inn is the only place to stay in Corregidor, so one doesn't have a real choice. The rooms are a little small, with only one size of rooms (except of course for their Suite) for single, double or triple occupancy.
However, our stay here was very enjoyable, mainly due to the superb and super friendly staff. I can't sing enough praise for the people on the island, from the waiters, to the guides to the security men. Well done! :)

The inn has a swimming pool and is a short distance from the beach. There is a restaurant at the ground floor and a small library on the second floor. There is a small ref in the room and guests can request for a TV and DVD player brought to their room.

Overnight stay with tour, transfers and meals:
Single Php 2,950.00
Twin/Double Php 2,500.00
Extra bed (child/adult) Php 2,350.00
Child w/o Bed Php 1,700.00

The friendly and efficient staff makes the stay very special; The pipes creak but it is part of the charm of the place; There are rumors of ghosts on the halls at night (unfounded of course, thanks to my utter lack of sixth sense).

The restaurant offers a great view of the sea and the island :)

Corregidor Inn: A Hotel with different touch

The hotel is old and very ancient. It's really going back in time. Yet, it's clean and the people are very hospitable though during night times the electiricity would stopped for about 2 minutes because they are refueling their generator. The whole island is powered by generator because there's no electiricty

Since it's summer at that time, the swimming pool is a little bit dirty so my daughter and I would just swim a couple of minutes only then we went to the nearest beach area where we gathered some unique stones. The stones has red blemishes and from the story that i've found,it is believed that it is the blood of the dead soldiers...eerie...just a myth.

camping at the seashore: camping at the seashore

since hotel accomodation is expensive you can go camping at the beach. just bring water, food, blanket and mosquito lotion coz there are lots of mosquitos there.

please bring small bills coz the cafeteria won't let you buy food if you have a thousand or 500 bucks coz they don't have enough change for your money so you may end up getting hungry if you don't have food.

also bring your own mineral water coz the prices there are so expensive.

people who like adventure will surely enjoy this camping. especially if they are with their with friends.

we know someone in corregidor that let us go to malinta tunnel for free during the night to test if there are really ghost in the tunnel as others claimed to have have seen. nice experience coz we only have two flashlights and we were 9 that night. although i haven't seen the "ghosts" it was a nice experience going to inside it and seeing its deepest secrets and small tunnels.

Corregidor Hotel: One and Only

After our day tour, we had our buffet lunch at the said hotel. I initially noticed that the hotel personnel were friendly and accomodating. The facilities and amenities are OK. The 1-hour power interruption was not a problem. The hotel has a Spanish era theme and has a very relaxing ambiance.

Aside from the great views, the hotel is located near Malinta Tunnel. I also enjoyed watching sunrise since the room I got was facing the beach.

Corregidor Hotel: Only Hotel in the Island

We stayed overnight and considering the whole family is on tour, there's no other choice of any other comfortable accomodation but this hotel. The room we got have a view of the sea facing Cavite. It was summer and complementing this view are the fire trees with their blooming red flowers giving life and color to the hilly landscape of Corregidor.

The hotel staff are very accomodating and helpful in our inquiries on how to make the most of our stay in the island. Btw, the hotel management is also the island tour operator.

The hotel has a modest size swimming pool which my water-buddy children surely loved.
Check their library - the books (specially the pictures) tell a lot of the war history Corregidos has gone through.

Corregidor Hotel: The Only Accomodation in Corregidor

The hotel room can accomodate two people. It has an aircon, a private bath/comfort room, and a queen-size bed. The hotel has a swimming pool, a restaurant, a tennis court and a basketball court. It also has a beach at the back, but we didn't swim in it because it doesn't look promising. (I was coming from Boracay a few days ago so I was quite spoiled then.) We swam in the pool instead.
There are power interruptions, however, everyday at 8-9AM, and at 4-5PM. During that time, I recommend that you swim in the pool or eat. If you have decided to swim, inform the frontdesk two hours before so that they can clean the pool for you.
The restaurant serves good, filling meals, but it costs about PHP200.00 per meal (quite expensive).
The place is very quiet; very relaxing. The only sounds you hear are the chirping of birds, the rustling of the tress, and, very faintly, the waves hitting the rocks. Staying overnight makes you feel you were away from Manila for almost a week! That is how relaxing staying overnight in Corregidor is!

Corregidor Hotel: Room with a view

Add 750/pax ($15) to the day trip price and you can get a room at the hotel for an overnight's stay. Buffet lunch is included but other meals can be ordered at the restaurant.

I keep telling my friends it's worth the overnight stay but they listen to others who say Corregidor's just good for a day trip. Right, D?

If you like long walks in the afternoon as the sun goes down and you want to laze in the pool or lay out in the beach, I'd recommend spending the night here.
