Summer in Cebu
Hi!We're having our convention this May at the Waterfront hotel,Lahug.I'm sure it will be fully booked.Any good hotel suggestions that is just near Waterfront?And better yet,near tourist spots.Also, what are the tourist spots in Cebu or what can we do when we go there?Famous restos?

near waterfront in lahug is a walking distance (or take a cab if you dont want to walk) to ayala mall cebu. from ayala cebu you can take a jeepney ride to fuente osmeña which is the main city of cebu and has a good place to eat as well. In osmeña, its a place for shopping and also a nice place to eat out like @ larsians (barbeque place in cebu runs every night) and also from here you can see the Capitol Building. Also taxi in cebu is cheap and reliable in terms of taxi meter so you can go somwhere like downtown which is around 15mins drive from waterfront. From downtown, you can find an old church of Sto. Niño and also Magellan's cross and also a lot of bargains and cheap souvnr. One of the best place to eat out on dinner is outside ayala mall, called "kaona" is a very cozy barbeQue restaurant that is so cheap like if i remember its around less than 100/meal w/ drinks. Another place also which is good is by going up in the hill like TOPS so you can get a nice view of CEBU CITY and also Taoist Temple. SUggest to take a cab to Taoist Temple and TOPS. enjoy your stay in cebu =)

If you want a hotel near waterfront: Cebu Northwinds Hotel-(032)233-0311, Montebello Villa Hotel -(032)231-3681. I you like near the beach and diving sites which is also one of out tourist spots though this is a bit far from waterfront try Plantation Bay- (32)340-5900, Maribago BLue Water- (032)232-5411, Tambuli Resorts- (032)492-1888.
Tourist spots you must see are The Magellans Cross, Sto. Niño Pilgrim Center, Taoist Temple, Tops. If you love swimming, diving or Island hopping you can do it in Cebu.
Must try Restos: AA Grill, Goodah Gud, Golden Cowrie (thats near waterfront); Casa Verde, Moons Cafe, Neo Neo. If you want restos that is overlooking the City try: Mr. A, Isla Foods, LaTegola. c",)

Wow thanks guys.It looks like Cebu is a really neat and fun place to go to.I'll check on the hotels you suggested and maybe the ones near the beach.What about your famous Cebu's lechon?Ive tasted that before and its tastier than other lechons here.What store sells the best lechon there?I'll definitely try it and bring it back home.;)

hi! Talisay City,Cebu is known for delicious lechon here. But it's an hour+ ride from the Cebu City proper. You can also try CNT Lechon. for convenience you can buy it at the food courts of the shopping malls here. Have a great stay here. c",)
