Cebu City along With Iloilo City
by MrFredzy
Wow! Cebu... I've been there during our On-the-Job-Training in Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The city is so promising. A lot of experience to be watch out. Actually I'm from a Iloilo City, it's just a flight away from Cebu City. Try to visit this city to enjoy more. And experience the hospitality, and warm welcome of the Ilonggo people. Try to taste some of the famous delicacy I'm sure you will love it. From the the Iloilo International Airport, a taxi will take you for about 30 minutes to the city proper. There are so many hotels where you can check in. The hotel staff will take care of you, as if you fell at home. Try to ride in a jeepney's, that will be create another unforgettable moments of your life. A trip may lead you to Miag-ao, a neighboring town in the South of Panay Island. Take a picture of the Miag-ao Church, one of the UNESCO's world heritage site. These are some of the few that I may suggest. And there are a lot more that the Philippine Island may offer you! Mabuhay!

TOPS!!
by screamcheese
A friend of mine brought me to this place more commonly called the TOPS. You could actually see the whole of Cebu from this view point. There's an entrance fee of 50php (as i remember) per person, but you can bring in food and beer and stay for as long as you want. People usually go in groups since there is ample space for teambuilding or for playing.
Just ask any local i'm sure they'd know where this is --since it may be a good place for cheap dates. hehe.
**Travel time around 30 minutes up the mountain.
Best Native Food in Cebu
by johnrxx99 about Golden Cowrie
In Lahug, an institution for Cebu dinners. Usually packed, especially for Sunday lunch. Large parties of Filipino famlies enjoy a splurge. The prices are very reasonable for such quality and the staff impecible. Don't miss if you are in Cebu. So many to choose - if it's Filipino you wont find better
Purely Filipino
by freddie18 about Golden Cowrie Restaurant
I would recommend this restaurant for their delicious native cuisine. Customer service is outstanding.
Purely Filipino food like sinigang and tinola and baked tahong as their specialties. The one thing that catches my attention and I think it's awesome, are the ladies carrying around a rice pot asking us if we need more plain rice on our plate. I have seen non-Filipino restaurants in other countries with a cart of food going around, but this restaurants' concept is something different.
A very convenient place to have lunch and dinner. Very homey. If you happen to be in Cebu, drop by Golden Cowrie Restaurant and experience the truly Filipino hospitality.
Mabuhay!
Lapu Lapu
by DJ_Rolo
I dont think this is actually in Cebu itself, but it is nearby. This is where Lapu Lapu killed Ferdinand Magellan On April 27 1521. I came here on April 26, so there was a big festival goin on. This is a very historic site for the Philippines. If you get the chance you should go take a look...
